Top 3 over rated bands

Yes Sir! over-rated!

What did they do apart from Hotal California?
What did they invent?
How did they change the music industry?

Besides setting the bar bit too high for others to follow as far musical talent goes? Nothing. Do you think that every band that hasn't changed the music industry is overrated?

Check out this Eagles Live DVD...

... and tell me how they can be overrated. Every song is like listening their studio records. 3-5 part vocal harmonies in every song sang absolutely perfectly. 4 lead singers and all top notch singers.

If Eagles is something, it's underrated, not overrated.

Early Eagles with the original 4-piece lineup were pretty decent for the first couple of years, until they got away from the country music and started making commercial formulaic mainstream pop. I'd say the jump-the-shark moment for them was "One Of These Nights".

The Beatles and Nirvana are not only not overrated, they are not rated highly enough. Both bands left a wake that rippled through the whole music industry. I don't think Radiohead is overrated either, they are hugely creative and melodic. If only they'd get off that electronica kick they've been on for the last few years. "The Bends" and "OK Computer" are amazingly good pop-rock albums.

My three most overrated list:

Fleetwood Mac (the Buckingham/Nicks version)
Ozzy Osbourne
Steely Dan

And what the fuck is wrong with that other than the fact that you don't like it?

I'm not saying any of them are bad, just overrated. Black Sab with Ozzy had, what, two good albums?

No one mentioned, as I did, The Rolling Stones?

They pale in comparison to the Beatles and should have retired 10 years ago (at least)

How many albums and how many hits?
Compared to the Beatles it's very very low

Still their popularity is still amazingly high
