If you want, you can also direct your nutritionist to
http://www.ravnskov.nu/cholesterol.htm to learn about the many myths that have gone around for far too long, even among some of the scientific communities.
This really should not be to hard to understand: your [healthy] body regulates cholesterol for you. The only thing that can reduce [temporarily, I think] the amount of cholesterol in your body is drugs.
Here's a simplified analogy: your body knows how much cholesterol should be in your body at all times. If you intake less than your body needs, it makes up the difference. If you intake too much, it stops producing its own cholesterol. Ah, but what about people with too much or too little cholesterol in their bodies? This usually indicates that something's wrong, something's not working under the hood correctly.
Cholesterol is in ALL animal products and all animals need cholesterol in their bodies, specifically in their cells. There is no such thing as Good or Bad cholesterol: cholesterol is cholesterol, period. Damn, I hate reading labels on products that say "No Cholesterol!" Shit, if the product isn't made from animals, it doesn't have any cholesterol. Duh!
Cruise the link above, it will make you think twice about what we know due to what we are told by such people as doctors and experts.
I'm sure your nutritionist knows more than I do about nutrition. I'm hoping you report that the blood-diet thoeory is not a foreign subject. If you want to know more yourself, go to
http://www.dadamo.com/
This site, too, is something all bodybuilders, and anyone who's focus is on health, ought to know about. Especially after ingesting chemicals that alter your hormones. Knowing what makes your body humm, helps you clean out (without more drugs) and last longer. I love chemicals myself, so I'm nice to my body after I subject it to my desires.
Dr. D'Adamo now has three books: "Eat Right 4 Your Type," "Cook Right 4 Your Type," and "Live Right 4 Your Type." His fourth book is due to release soon.
Cheers!
