Too much cardio?

Here's the deal. I currently walk to/from work ed (5 days), about 2mi each way. I have been working out 4-5 days per week (70-75 min sessions), run 10miles ew (5mi, 8 min/mi, twice per week), and occasionally take one day entirely off.

Also currently on HRT at 200mg cyp ew.

In the past two months, my weight has pretty much remained stable (179lbs, 5'8), although body composition has definitely improved. See my profile for progress.

If my goal is to put on 10lbs of quality lean muscle mass, should I knock out the walking? I'm putting down around 4K calories ed, but I would have expected to be gaining more weight than I have been. I don't know if increasing calories with my current routine would help, or just make more fat?

increase calories, if youve been eating 4k calories a day and staying that lean, what makes you think youre going to gain a ton of fat bumping it up to 4500-4600?

Yeah bro, that was my initial thought. But then I got wonderin if I was putting my body into a catabolic state too often. And then I thought if that was the case, more food probably wouldn't help?

Youre not going into a catabolic state if youre weight is remaining stable, if you were dropping lbs you might be, but you said your weight has stayed constant.

Ok, here's what I'm gonna add to my diet:

Two more egg yolks in the morning shake - 120 cals
Can of tuna fish (6 oz) in the morning - 120 cals
One cup (dry) oatmeal in the afternoon - 300 cals
One cup 2% cottage cheese in the afternoon - 180 cals

This adds another 720 cals. I'll see where this takes me. The problem is, I'm already feeling damn full throughout the day. I know it would probably be easier to add one of those Mass Gainer shakes, but I'd rather get more high-quality cals in my diet from real food since I'm already heavy on protein supplements (Whey/Muscle Milk).

Skip the weight gainers, they're usually full of bad empty calories (processed sugars, etc.) - it's good to add some whole eggs in the morning....you should have the oatmeal in the morning as well.... some egg whites and even a banana....that's good morning fuel..... use the tuna throughout the day as a snack.... use the cottage cheese before bed (casein protein is slow-disolving)
