too bad the "stereotype" thread was locked

Agreed. Everyone is racist to a certain extent. If you were walking home late at night and you had to choose between going down an alley filled with a bunch of young Black guys dressed in their thug attire, or an alley filled with a bunch of white guys, what alley would you choose?

Thats what I thought.

Are the white kids in thugged out attire as well?

Actually that situation (if slightly changed) isn't a racist one.

Two alleys or dark streets. One has some black guys in it, one some white guys. If the white guys look like Eminem and the black guys are dressed like Tiger Woods coming out of a sports bar. I know which ones I'd rather walk by.

That doesn't mean I hate whitey though, just like in the above situation it doesn't mean I hate blacks. It means I'm aware of my surrondings and I dont want to put myself in unnessecary harm or danger.

Deeping on what the white guys looked like I'd might choose the thug attired brothas. If they were looking like neo nazi or not so nice red necks I'm taking the other alley. I guess were are supposed to assume the white alley are all attired from Abercrombie & Fitch or the Gap?

Say you are FBI. You get a tip off that there are TWO terrorist on board a airplane. As you enter the plane you notice all 200 of the passengers are white besides two Islamic men sitting besides each other. Wouldn’t it be in your best interest to be suspicious of these men, and maybe confront and interrogate them first before the other 198 white people? If you say no you are a fool. And if you say yes, you are racial profiling (stereotyping)

If you were a cop, and you get a call about robbery at a gas station, and they had 15 people arrested that were suspects. Along with cash, other items were a few packs of Newport cigarettes, and a 40oz of malt liquored. The people that were involved were 10 white guys, 3 Chinese men, and two black men(everyone dressed the same in street close) wouldn’t it be wise judging upon the items stolen, to interrogate the two black men first, instead of the other 13 men. Any good investigator will tell you this is true, if you don’t, you are a fool, but If you do, you are a racist fucking pig and should be shot for stereotyping. THIS WAS MY POINT I know you all know this is true. if you say different, you must be running for governor or something

If you were a law-abiding black man who happened to be at a gas station together with 14-17 other people (the numbers don't quite add up, but just stay with me for a sec, ok?) when someone stole cash, a few packs of Newport cigarettes, and a 40oz of malt liquored (never mind my English). The other 14-17 guys were white (roughly 10), Chinese (like, uh, 3) and another black man. How would you feel if the cops decided to interrogate you and the other black man first only because you were black?

oh, and by the way, everyone was dressed the same in street close. not quite sure what close is but it probably matters somehow.

Well, it all depends. Will I be an educated intelligent black man, that knows the facts and statistics that are against me? If so, I would understand the reasoning behind this and corporate in a civilized manner, helping them by stating where I was, what happened etc, basically everything I knew. And of course I would be very angry that I was being stereotyped, but not at the cops, at my race for giving themselves this reputation. I believe this would be very hard, and suck, but I wouldn’t start running my mouth about racist cops and stereotyping, that will just cause problems. The fact is, if they didn’t have this reputation, they wouldn’t be stereo typed, just like people stereotype Islamic people for being terrorists. Sure there have been white terrorists (timothy McVeigh for 1) but as you can see, the number of Islamic terrorists greatly surpass the amount of any other race. Is this not true? do you not agree with me?

Oh wow, you really got me now, I never knew how to spell clothes. This puts a major dent in the truth of my statement.

Now come the little attacks against me because you know I’m right, and my statement is 100% true. Just admit it, It’s ok. No need to turn this into a spelling bee competition.

1) If you were an educated black man you would know that America was built on the notion that every man (and woman) has the same rights regardless of race (and a bunch of other things) and you would know that cops who use race (white, black, whatever) as a way to "profile" suspects are violating the constitution and the very founding principles of this country.

2) If you were an educated black man, you would know that you have the right to be treated as an individual, not as a statistic.

3) If you were an educated black man, I'm sure you would cooperate in a civilized manner even though your civil rights as a citizen are being violated.

4) Is you were an educated black man you would know that Islam is a religion, not a race.

5) If you were an educated black man this country could count one more educated individual.
