yeah it's hard to say where to draw the line, but i think when you sucker punch someone that badly and it ends up having as serious consequences as it does in this case, you have to do something fairly drastic. i think bertuzzi just got frustrated because he probably had tried to fight moore earlier and he wouldn't go, but blindsiding him like that is weak weak weak.

And according to your logic, Naslund should have the right to sue and press charges against Moore.

Just make strict rules (fights=thrown out of the game and one game suspension) just like they do during the olympics. Damn, we dont need useless crap like Tie Domi, Brashear....

Because thats why, and this is a bad thing because?

Seriously though, in hockey you can get in a fight and accept it as part of the game. Most guys see it this way and I have had beers after a game with a person I have fought.

Then you must accept stuff like Bertuzzi did. Moore deserved it IMHO.

Nope what he did wasn't fighting. It was brutal and I hope they charge him as the cops are looking into it.

There is a huge difference between 2 guys squaring off and a guy sucker punching another from behind.

The Moore hit was within the rules....it was delivered with his shoulder, not his elbow. The fact that Naslund was concussed on the hit does not make it a dirty hit...when you get drilled with a shoulder to the head when you are looking down at the puck, you almost always get knocked silly. Bertuzzi's assault from behind on Moore is a whole different scenario: a premeditated sucker-punch and then a bulldog from behind that was a deliberate attempt to injure.
