Today's dumbass moment for me

Yesterday I tried to bust my ass by falling off my car to avoid windshield wipers. Well, today I decide to try to bust my nose with an umbrella. When I walk, I'll kinda swing an umbrella if I am carrying one. I brought my keys up to get the right key to unlock my door and managed to swing my umbrella straight into my nose instead. It's not swollen or purple, thank God. But it is a little tender. I can only wonder what I'll do tomorrow. :rolleyes:

HEY! I was not going to take a chance. It's cloudy and nasty and probably too cold to rain, but I'd rather not risk it. The cloudy and nasty was enough for me. So there.

lol...I know how you feel.

My problem is that I do not read directions before taking on a project. It took me about 5 hours to hang a damn chandalier in our hallway today. I finally got fed up with it and read the directions.

It didn't help that thing weighed about 75 pounds and I was by myself on a ladder. I don't need to work out today my back hurts too bad now.

lol...it will be alright tomorrow but I feel like shit right now.

Have been trying to spruce up our house here. I guess I could pay somebody to do it but I like doing things like that. I love painting but I hate the prep work that goes into it.

I like doing stuff like that too. I guess I'm a do-it-yourself type, but I'm not very good at it yet. Gotta give me effort for trying though. :)

I am a jack of all trades and master of none.

My wife actually helped this past weekend finish up painting the hallway. She doesn't do those kind of things but she hung in there.

I give props to any female that can do stuff like that. :)

I've just watched one too many Trading Spaces. lol. Let's see how I do when I have real do-it-yourself type things to do rather than just painting and stuff. :)

Good stuff. "While You Were Out" is another good one.

I am painting 1 room and a bathroom this weekend and hanging wallpaper in the bathrrom and putting a new toilet in (put a new sink in last week) to match the sink. Next week I am painting the kitchen and installing a new kitchen sink and countertops. Start on the upstairs next month.:)
 
Welcome to the real world---i'm stuck doing the same thing! I started on 1 room ,now it has turned into a whole house thing!

No shit!

It's like washing a car. You can't just wash the fender and be done with it. A new coat of paint in 1 room will make the rest of house look awful.

I think I can top that. I don't know anyone any more absent-minded than myself. The other day at work, I walked into the women's restroom and was washing my hands in the sink, when a woman came out of one of the stalls and looked startled as hell. All I could do was shriek, '"Jesus, I'm sorry." and run out the door. It's not the first time I've done this. I use to lock myself out of my house so often, that I had to give the neighbor a spare key.
