Today was my son's Birthday

Christopher turned 9 today. Boy, they grow up fast. Took his class to Chuck E. Cheese's for pizza and games and then to the bowling alley for bowling and cake.

I remember when I was little, I was lucky just to have a party at my home. Cake and ice cream were a luxury, unless some other kid's parent brought it.

Well this is not as thrilling as some of the other threads, but just thought I would share.

Awesome! I remember birthdays like that. They used to be something everyone looked forward to, and they were always jsut innocent fun.


BTW, sometimes, it's just as nice to see a thread like this as one that amuses or makes you think. Life's little things.

Well he certainly has better birthdays than I do. I bought him two games for his Game Cube and he got a bunch of other cool stuff from his classmates and my fiance. What he got today would have been 2x the amount I ever got for Christmas.

Sometimes I wish I could trade places and be him for a change.

Oh well.... at least he is happy. I think his best present was the fact that his teacher didn't give any homework today.
