To those who get prescribed ambien

Hell not even weed knocks me out anymore. I need a sleep study done.

I was desperate and even tried smoking. i was laying in bed staring at my ceiling and walls. 2 hours later, got up to urinate and raided the kitchen.

Its worse when i go on cycle, but i stopped juicing. If i get 3-4 hours of sleep tonight, the next night, ill usually get a little more, 5-6 hours, but not consecutive hours, meaning ill wake up every hour or so. then the next day i get les sleep and the pattern continues. Ive tried waking up early, going to sleep early, warm milk, no hot showers before bed, etc. When i first noticed the insomnia, i would fall asleep later and later everyday until i fell asleep at 5am everyday, but i would wake up at 12noon so i would get decent sleep, but now, i cant even stay asleep, its getting annoying.

Well that wasn't real fucking bright!!!!

I thought it was the right thing to do in order to keep this trust thing going that her and I have. So in the future if I feel I need or want to try something she'll be more willing to work with me or give me what I want. If I just take anything she throws at me I think it could restrict my options later.

I'd just tell it the way it is. Most docs (mine included) will give you a prescription. Ambien is *technically* not physically addictive, benzos are physically VERY addictive.

Problem is that a lot of HMOs won't give you more than 10-14 pills a month even if you get a prescription. I've got a damn good PPO so I get as many as I want but if your insurance doesn't cover it, it's expensive shit.

Hmm.... I really recommend a sleep study. There's restless leg syndrome, your constant waking could possibly be apnea (but I would expect with apnea you would be drowsy constantly). Once they plug you up with wires there's a lot of things they could find. I had sleep problems that turned out to be apnea. I was sleeping 20 hrs. a day on weekends and abusing the hell out of caffeine pills on work days. I got to the point that I seriously considered suicide. I got to the point where I stuck a loaded SKS rifle in my mouth to see if I could still reach the trigger. Now I use a CPAP machine and things aren't 100% but they are much improved.

My doc told me that just about all men who go in for a sleep study (which I did too) are diagnosed with apnea. I believe that. Mine is so mild though that I can control it without a CPAP machine. That gas mask thingy just doesn't work on a first date.
