I think there are things even the mods and "higher powers" are in disagreement with, but lines have to be drawn somewhere. Personally, I'm anti "thread locking." If someone is being a total ass clown doushebag, then that someone should be censored, but controversy makes the board go 'round.

Also, I think naming sources using un-tracable names (use initials or abbreviations) isn't such a horrible thing and allows for more info to more people. Other than that, yeah, the board is 1000% better than it was 2 years ago.

Yeah, there has been a big difference! Cleaned up alot, every other thread is locked, but every other thread is a newb with his 1st post saying have you heard of this. Its like all of a sudden there has been an influx of newbs with either lab or source threads. LOL!! But has been cleaner for sure. You can tell a difference.

This happens every year before spring and summer. Every year we find a few keepers in the crowed of newbs. List like fishing lol. We have to throw back more then we get to keep. Once in a wile we get a few big ones to. 2007 was good fishing if you ask me.

It was a compliment. You guys are doing a great job cleaning this board up. I didn't even come here for a while because the board sucked. I'm back on her everyday now. I don't want to start an argument but anyone with half a brain can find a source on this board, but we can't discuss even the names of some UG's. However, that's not what I disagree with. I don't think we should openly talk about sources (at least private ones), but mods and respected vets should be able to do source checks through secure email like they always have. It's bad policy to say that staff, who I would assume includes the mods will not do source checks IMO. In my eyes the main purpose of these boards outside of education should be to keep the guys in this game as safe as possible, and on the education side of the house we could really summarize everything anyone would need to know by linking to a few posts which would really new posts unnecessary. The way we use this stuff doesn't change, but what does change is what labs are around, where and when it's safe, etc. I can search and find the answer to anything I need to know. But I can't use a post from 2 years ago to see what labs are good and whose gear is sterile etc. Just a thought. Open source posting is dumb, but in reality there are source posts all over this board.

i agree with nelson 100% ..best board around and mods are great .. but i had a few theards erazed for just askin bout other supps from diff companies or takin bout compounds certain mods might not like ... debate is good and the best stuff will always win in the long run .. no locks or thread deletes needed except in source threads

I dont ever recall being deleted or locked. But I guess it depends on why the thread was locked. If it was solely for fighthing, flaming, or the such by one individual, in an otherwise "great debate" thread, than I suppose it would be very frustrating.

mentioning of UG labs is BRR's rule, which I agree with.

1st, during ORD, the DEA stated their intention was to shut down unsafe UG bathtub operations that endanger peoples health. why poke a finger in their eye?


2nd, this isnt a source board. many/most of the UGs also source their own product obviously. mentioning an UG is in most cases tantamount to mentioning a source.

re locking threads -- nobody is locking debate threads. threads that descend into ad hominem attacks are locked.

Attack the idea, not the individual who is presenting the idea. those threads get locked, and if the member makes it a habit of starting those personal attcks, he wont be around long.

The thing most often mentioned by returning Roid board members who had left in disgust in the past, is the new lack of Flaming. We intend to keep it that way.

we take not of the people killing the threads. we also love debate and want to let things go. We know who is starting it and that person will be noted and taken care of.

We are not always just going to lock the thread and leave it at that. Some times we will lock a thread because some one made the first attack and we know its going to get ugly.

We will deal with that person who dos. It dos no good for a member to take it into his own hands and flame back and keep the fight going. So we feel no need to give the chance to do so.

Yes like you said keeping it from getting abusive or personal is our goal. If we have to ban some one that just don't get it we will. We will give warning when
we need to, ban when we need to, and cut the fight off at the roots when we need to.

When we start sending a msg we might come out with it full force at first. Once people get the point we we can step back a bit. If things get sloppy again we will just tighten up ship again.

So its up to every one here.
