To be the world's finest... What craft would you revolutionize through your skillz?

art.

mainly glass.
I still have to see some of your work... with your percepetual acuity and just style, I bet its amazing. Since I have the artistic ability and motor skills of stephen hawking, I am curious about the process of how you envision or your intuition delivers you the next piece to work on... I remember watching this on the history channel... michael angelo was noted for just sitting in one spot for 14 hours at a time staring at a slab of marble, already envisioning the whole process of what he would design... can you imagine the depth of thought and attention span dude must of had? I can't even sit still for 10 minutes without getting bored...

EF poster, Dad, archery, karate, TF2, cheesecake chef

I'm only decent at one of those things today. :(
I rock out at none of those things... except weirdest poster probably...
I bet you are a good dad though.
Archery takes a very precise quiet mind, nope not me...
Karate I dig on and promise to learn aikido after I graduate in december
be a whle before I'm a dad.

If I could be the best at something, I would want it to be the best husband and father.

I already have been a world expert in my field. I garnished it through working 300+ hours a month and never having time off.

Now I'd like to be the best strongman competitor (which I am working on).

Scuba diving...the thing is, there isn't much you can do by diving alone that would distinguish you as an elite diver outside of the dive community. Reaching milestones just for the sake of reaching milestones - in diving - is stupid, and reckless, and doesn't earn you respect or admiration. It earns you death, eventually, and a place in there "here's what NOT to do" books. However, recognition within the industry is very possible and it would be REALLY cool to be able to do something like identify an unknown wreck someday.
See, like I was thinking about this... there seems to an issue of how we define best... well in our culture the best means the most dominant, or to discover or be the first at something... and I think this has alot of confluent factors... capitalistic culture, a cultural tendency to glorify individuality, again I'm not saying these things are good or bad, just noting that they exist... my point is like in scuba diving, which is an awesome pick... I'm a complete wuss, and have no desire to explore the ocean that way... I even get paranoid surfing, that I'm gonna be attacked by a shark, but anyway, the best in this case is more about the individual exploring the sea, and exploring their own self through the experience... its like an inner and outer journey... I think the best would have to be understood as the what the individual gets from it rather than achieving quanititative, observable 'milestones'...

sidenote though, Divers get all the hawties... When I lived in Florida, I had some friends that were search and rescue divers, kewl as they come, but they had some killer stories, and telling a compelling story is always a huge plus in hooking up.

Not anesthesiologist... I haven't read your panera thread, Panera, so overpriced, but free wifi...I always wanted to be the guy who says the names... but just fuck with everyone and sneak in anti consmeristic, apocolyptic quotes while they are eating... of course I'm the only one who would think this is funny, but yeah... good tymes...

went and had some coffee to use their wifi.......

F being the best anesthesiologist.....I already know that I will be in the top 5-10%. But being the best at your job, hobby, making money.......none of that stuff really matters to me as much as family does.

Just my 2 cents.

jesus... I work like 25-30 hours a week and just basically daydream and post up at work... its so quiet, and only busy on the weekends, so its nice...
Some of the shit they do like pulling fucking planes... I mean planes? I wonder what the rituals are to get so fired up for an activity like that... demeanor's gotta be innate...

Anything computer related, from hardware to software to design. I have done it all for years. I can basicly take one look at a website or product and tell you why it will not work and how to make it more user friendly, that is my niche. Few months ago I designed a digital eBook reader for a company in Cali to compete with Kimble Amazons eBook reader. It's in production now. I was also a lead product designer for Live Messenger and Live Mail (Hotmail) last year. So if you use Live Messenger or Hotmail you are using something I designed.
