Tito Vs Shamrock

it will be shown on spike tv again soon. later this week or this weekend. look for it

i'll tell u what happened, tito knocked him the fuck out, and the time that it took you to read this post was how long the match was lol

Everyone knew Tito was going to knock him out. I think if Shamrock was in his prime, it would have been a different story.

I doubt it. He is from a different generation, when just being a big strong guy with skill would be UFC champ. Now, you need to be a world class athlete, which Shamrock never was.

spikes showing all the prefight franklin silva stuff this weekend but they are showing ortiz/shamrock again sun night/mon am at 12am

Tito needs to stop fighting old guys and fight some of the young blood like Forrest who he almost lost too. Shamrock walked in the ring looking like he wanted to announce the fight himself. If you saw it you knew it was he last fight for sure. Tito has gained some of the lost repect i had for him solely for his skills as a trainer but as a fighter he's not as impressive as people think. I mean cmon rich franklin knocked out Shamrock and he's fighting @ 185. Tito is 205...

yea, poor shamrock, i feel bad for the guy, hes a badass still, but hes too old to compete with young blood, your body just isnt as snappy when compared to someone much younger

Rich Franklin walks around at 225lbs, diets down to 200-205, then cuts weight to make 185. He is comparible to Tito in size. Either way, he would offer Tito a hell of a fight - would love to see it, could go either way.

I think the only thing gained form this 3 fight was vindication for Herb Dean, he did the right thing in fight # 2. Ken was not defending himself at all, they let # 3 go a bit longer which resulted in Kens K.O.

Could go either way? Don't get fooled watching Tito beat up on old men and marginal fighters - Franklin would knock his ass out.

I wouldn't mind seeing Franlkin/Ortiz
or Franklin/Lister but Dean needs more UFC experience under his belt before he can get a titleshot, tho if Rich drops the belt to Anderson then a Franlkin/Lister fight could be in the future
which I'd enjoy

my thoughts exactly .. alot of people would knock his ass out!

can anyone tell me why shamrock ever came down in weight so much? Didn't he use to fight at 230? I mean, watching Tito.....who has no legs, push shamrock around for the 3rd straight fight was just vexing. Shamrock just has no power anymore......I can see losing some quickness at his age, but so much strength? I don't get it.....but maybe now we get to see Tito fight some real competition. He's got to be next up for Ice man right? Or does Dana have someone else in the LW's next in line?

He was 230 before weight classes - if you think he got pushed around by Tito imagine someone like Tim Silvia.

Ken was great in his day, but to compare him to current fighters is kind of ridiculous at any age IMO.

And yeah, I think the next LHW championship bout would have to be Chuck v. Tito, the class is not really very deep and in terms of marketability no other fight would come close.

well MiddleWeight and Light HeavyWeight are kinda screwed right now
there isn't a lot of stuff for them to deal with
Rashad I think has a lot of potential same with Matt the Hammer, but neither are nearly ready
but Rashad Forrest would be a good mid level fight

and with middleweight
Anderson Silva just dominated Franklin, who had prevously dominated all the 185ers who he bumped into
so I'm not sure what Silva is going to do now tha the has the belt

yeah i was thinking about that one Rashad VS Forrest. That would be a good since both of them are young and seem to improve every fight.

um, I have lifted weight for awhile now and anyone on the lifting portions of this forum actually should be able to tell you that Ken is not 200-205 for walkaround...
unless he's really short...
built like that I'd say his walkabout is 220

Although you can find his height posted around the net from 5'11" to 6'1", he in reality is about 5'10".

He weighed in at 203 for the fight, fully clothed, after eating a burger and milkshake before stepping on the scale.

Ken could likely cut to 185.

no
I've got bodyfat on me
which is by volume less dense/heavy then muscle
and I'm 65 lbs heavier then him?
difficult to believe
