Tired of same plain chicken breast.HELP

I have been eating very good for the last 2 weeks...Is just now that I started to see a pound go away..but that is ok with me...
I am getting tired of eating the tuna or the grill chicken breast.
My question to u all is the following...
On a whole wheat wrap- grill chicken breast with 2 slices(2.0oz) of muenster cheese ,lettuce, jalapeno peppers and roated peppers. Is this ok to eat??....it is delicious...
If I eat that how bad is it??? or how good?? I have no idea....ohhh I forgot the pickel..which I love.
Please girls give me a hand here...
What else or how else can I eat my meat...
I am trying my best to make the changes, but I believe that in order for me to stick to this as a lifestyle I have to like what I eat...and I need some variety on the cooking of meats...
Well hope you Grils can help me here.. :sick:

I like to dice up my chicken breast while it's still raw, and then toss it until golden brown in a skillet with a tad of olive oil mixed in with onions and mushrooms......

You could also dice it up and toss it on a small bed of pasta with Ms. Dash for flavor...

Also, you may want to put it on top of a baked potato with some low sodium/ sugar free BBQ sauce....

As long as you don't cram tons of carbs in, you can mix it with lots of things to liven up your diet.

spatts said it bang on.....food is soley for the purposes of fuel. Believe me you will adapt...i posted things like this only a couple months ago.....I couldnt fathom plain old oatmeal and chicken breast.

Now its NO PROBLEMO!!!! i just feed my monkey :D

You need it you eat it, .......plain and simple......feed your machine girl
 
its amazing how good a bunch of brussle sprouts and chicken breasts taste once you get used to it... i crave these things... sicko i am i guess :D

don't get me wrong, i think 9 out of 10 days i'd kill a small animal for some cheesecake!!! :D

(okay, maybe not... but on some days i wouldn't tempt me!)

You will just have to play with it a little. I sautee my chicken with onions, red and green peppers, and mushrooms, fresh ground pepper and fresh garlic. It is soooo good:p Sometime I even mix my veggies in with it. That pita you plan to eat can be done BUT you will have to prepare it and eliminate the cheese and the pickle. Or If you must have it that way save it for you cheat day or if you just can't wait and you usually do it on Fri or Sat go ahead and do it today so you can satisfy that craving....but make sure you get back on track tomorrow.:)

For today I did not bring any lunch...
I guess I amd going to eat that wrap sandwich I describe above...but just like Nubian said.. I will make it without the cheese and pickel......would that make it better???

If you do that you need to make today the cheat day. Then get back on track tomorrow:) I say this because it seems as if you are going to do it anyway AND you are really craving it indulge today then eat healthy until the next cheat day. Now remember if you usually save it for the weekend that if you indulge today you will have over a week before you will be able to cheat again.
 
Jalepeno peppers are good, as long as your stomach can handle them. Hot stuff gets the metabolism going :)

Why is this a cheat meal? I'm not sure what type of meal plan esteveze follows but this might fall into a 40/30/30.

This is one of the hurdles you have to overcome if you are going to go "hardcore".... the realization "Eat to live, not live to eat". It sucks. I'm good for about 6 weeks eating the same stuff every day - no problem. Then sometimes I just can't take it but nothing else looks good either. Then its time to go get some filet mignon and lobster tail. I never appreciated the taste of steak as much as I do now.

I also had to pass through these periods of denial -- you spend a lot of time trying to cook up "healthy" dinners, grilled chicken, different marinades, different vegies, cooked different ways, a variety of brown rice w/ vegies, etc. At this point if it takes more than 3 minutes to microwave and I'm out of grilled chicken, its down to either a can of tuna w/ some mustard in it (hate mayo, hate tuna) or egg whites w/ broccoli in it. I precut my 3 oz of sweet potatoe & nuke it at work, just put some pepper on. I can whip up a cup of brown rice in 7 minutes in the microwave. For pre-comp I even got down to boiling chicken breasts and eating them w/ flax oil poured over. Yum. NOT.

Sometimes I'll spoil myself and do a grilled swordfish (not politically correct either :-( ) or some hog snapper (a spear fisherman's delicacy). But otherwise its tilapia or orange roughy on the George Foreman w/ lemon juice and some paprika. I'm definitely A LOW MAINTENANCE CHICK!

The only bad thing about eating REALLY CLEAN "for fuel" is that sometimes you just can't take it any more and it seems a lot easier to have a binge session at those times -- and I've brought binging to a new level.... (I'm not proud to say....)

Anyway -- this subject is one of the hardest parts of pursuing bb / fitness & competition. Really changes your view of food. And often other people's view of you... (E.g. "Eating AGAIN?" "Yea, Meal #3!" or "What the hell is THAT??" " What? You don't like tuna w/ mustard???")

I was asking the same question. I do agree with ditching the cheese and the pickle (or saving those for cheat days). Cheese is high fat/calorie and pickle lots of sugar or salt. But unless Esteveze is in serious cutting mode as for a contest, her meal sounds healthy to me.

I'm not sure what kind of bread a "wrap" is, but if it's like pita and whole wheat it should be ok. You have to be careful with tortillias - some types can have high fat - check the label. Personally, I might pass on the bread and opt for a low glycemic complex carb.
 
I am not in any type od diet..I just try to eat clean. I need to loose 25 lbs. Besides diet I also do 40min cardio and weight trainning.
I am just starting...being doing this for few weeks now.
About the "bread type" its called whole wheat tortilla...
 
I think you're doing alright esteveze. I feel it IS important to enjoy your food, just don't forget WHY you really eat it. My advice to you would be to learn what the ideal, perfect diet would be, and make as many changes to your diet--one at a time--that you can be happy with on a day to day basis. Recognize that the saturated fats in cheese are not the best choice, and look for ways to substitute unsaturated fats for them. When that becomes second nature, think about minimizing prepared and processed foods like breads, tortillas, soups...Then tackle the next area that needs work. If you eat in a way you can live with and maintain, and you'll never have to lose those pounds again :)
 
OH my goodness....
Today I went down to the cafeteria and asked the gay on the sandwich station , that I wanted to see the nutrition facts for the tortillas wraps. Oh lord..I almos fainted....Calories 320, total fat 10g....
This is just the tortilla wrap alone...
Uoooo...
Also ..just to let you know. Yesterday I did not eat that sandwich that I was craving so much..instead I eat Grill checken breast with roasted potatoes and tomatoes..
