i have a constant shoulder pain. its always bothering especially when i work out chest and biceps. I have tried lifting through the pain but its gonna get worse, so the only way this shit is going to go away and hopefully heal is if i take 4-6 weeks off. Am i going loose everything i worked for after this time off? im gonna still do legs, abs and cardio just so im not completely out of it. after how long of not working out do u start to loose muscle?

All depends man, but think of it as youll be able to lift even harder and heavy when you return equating to more muscle. 4-6 weeks wont be that bad, dont sweat it.

How much it takes to lose muscle and strength depends on each carbon unit. Mine sucks; after 3 weeks I start losing weight and strength. no matter how good I eat.

As long as your shoulder heals, the beautiful part is muscle memory, or probably fascia memory may be more appropriate. You should be able to get back to where you were in no time.

yea i had it looked at by a doctor........he said that it was prolly a slight tear that it should heal in about 4-6 weeks and i should take an anti-inflammatory every day for that time

I tried to let mine heal with time but it didnt matter i ended up needing surgery (not trying to scare ya)

what was wrong with your shoulder? because mine doesnt really hurt unless i do incline chest, besides that its more of bother then a pain

Keep protein up. Just work out with much much lighter weights to. That will help.

arthritic ac and some bursitis to boot, so i could cause no more damage (i.e. tear more or keep re-tearing as in the case or rotator cuff). it hurt me the most on flat barbell bench press.

True. Try dropping the weight a lot but slowing down the reps.

i tried that for a while, it hurt a lot less but still towards the end of the chest set i felt the pain.

im not going to be able to get an MRI till mid march so i can find out exactly whats wrong with it. do u know if there is a certain pain to look for or a motion i can do to find out if i will need surgery.....cus if im gonna need surgery ne ways i might as well keep working out through the pain till i finally get the surgery

if u have paing doing the following u may have the same thing (though i am no doctor):

1)pull the arm of the affected shoulder across your body by the elbow
2)pain when u sleep on that side
3)hurts to put that arm into a sleeve of a jacket or long sleeve shirt

my shoulder hurts when i sleep on it but not when i do the other two. did your injury progressively worsen or did it happen out of nowhere(like a pop or sharp pain from a movement)

def. will man... my pain is frontal shoulder right in the corner were the chesy muscle meets in there somwere... PM me so i can remember ur name bro,, hahaha sorry im never good with names

Many shoulder issues are related to the rotator cuff. My shoulder's were being bitches for a while - diagnosed as Multi-directional Instability. I saw a PT for a while and she showed me a bunch of things to do that strengthened up all the little shit in there.

She also told me that many BBs have these kind of troubles because their chest is developed far more than their backs. Frontheavy.
