tight lower back?

anyone have any suggestions for a tight lower back? i stretch every morning..but after squatting it gets very tight for a few days until i pull a few days later ..mostly its very tight when i wake up and gets looser throughout the day..i jsut got a brand new mattress so i hope it isnt that!!
 
if you sleep on your stomach, its generally a problem. Tiger Balm on my lower back before I go to bed is a godsend. if you are a back sleeper, you might want to put something under your legs.

that is a good point. i used to have lower back problems. i know it sounds funny, but i started sleeping with a pillow between my legs at nite. it seems to do t he trick.
 
tigerbalm is great. put some on your lower back before you squat and put your belt on- it will keep it warm.
make sure if you're lifting things during the day, you are doing it right and not stressing your lower back- bend at your knees and keep the object close to you.
stretch frequently, preferably on the floor.

im a violent sleeper lol..i wake up in the AM and my sheet is across the room..lol not to mention i wake up constantly because my arms go numb from sleeping on them..so i constantly roll..ill try the tiger balm

I havent been using my belt when i squat or pull..im thinking i should put it back on..about the only thing i lift is my fork..lol

lol... yes, wear your belt more- see if that helps.
i'm glad i don't sleep next to YOU! lol
