I'm totally aware of it's untimately up to the individual to deem the risk VS. benefit, so who are we to say that he should WAIT, or STOP using, just continue with the best advice or shut the fuck up......

I suppose I could've worded this better, I guess that I could use the analogy that if you have a 14 YO son or daughter you most likely don't want them to have sex, but rather than say "Don't have sex!" how bout followin it up with "but if you decide to....", cause more than likely they will.....

and for the record, whether it matters or not I have only been drunk 5 times in the last 7 mos..mind you not by choice, I'm in the desert fightin for the great 'ol USA...but I was referrin to LAST year...
 
You do raise a good point... but at the same time... I don't often find vets that tell you 'no' then don't follow up with something constructive... in defence of the vets etc... they do take this seriously, and it is a passion for them... they prolly just take it personally, and may at times be a little over sensative when it comes to people not taking there chosen lifestyle as serious as they do...

Don't take it personal, and try not to let that bother you... just take the great advice that they are giving us, and do your thing...

To each his own. I too know my shit and what needs to be done but do I always do it 100% year round? Hell fuckin no! I applaud those that do good for you. Myself, well I like to go out and drink once a week on the weekends, I also like to have a cigarrette as well here and there when I drink, BUT, I also am not a recreational drug user when it comes to coke, e, k, and all that other shit. As well when I juice I never go high doses like some people in here. Again everyone is different.

What is disrespectful to the vets is when someone comes on with no respect for the gear, does whatever he wants, then comes back 4 months later with problems and asks for help. So yeah, if it means taking up a vets time, consideration and expetise, I'd say you aren't worthy.

and BigsonRising weightlifting is your hobby as bodybuilding cant be a hobby its a lifestyle.
 
ok, ive said it numerous times, but I see that this struck a chord with a few of you, so, I'll just humbly apologize to all those whom I've offended, because I'm the only person that thinks the way I do, well, me and my workout/drinkin buddy....

I was stirring shit based on how some of the vets were comin off on some of the people here and decided to voice my opinion which I've now decided was useless...

And I will go a step further and apologize for implyin that I was in any way shape or form a bodybuilder....
 
I think sometimes people tend to be harsh because it would be bad to see someone hurt themselves, this is a fitness board so you must understand that a lot of the people here probably take health into a great deal of, consideration...

When you are around people that feel health is important you will not get positive replies if you say that you drink everynight and are sleep deprived..

Now I think many really are concerned for some of these peoples well being, and others.. well perhaps it's just a power trip to be able to tell a newb off....

Bro I can relate to you drinking every night and chasing the bitches around. When I went to University it was hard for me to not do that. I still love tearing it up every now and again, but it happens way less now. When I am on vacation I seem to fall back into that zone it seems.

But as you get a little older you soon realize that you feel like shit after doing that for so long and it gets old. If you dont think that your workouts are suffering ... just think of how much more intense they could be by going in fresh with lots of sleep and not being hungover. The point is that you are poisoning your body, and wasting your muscles.

I am not saying to turn straightedge ... but you have to learn moderation. For me my workouts come first. A night of boozing feels like I am poisoning myself. It also makes me eat crap if I am out, and it also writes me off for the whole next day, sometimes making me miss a workout. This is not what I am looking for. You just have to get your priorities straight. I

t is just frustrating for the mods and others to here this and offer you advice ... in situations like that our thinking is ... OK ... you are an idiot .... and your gonna do what you want anyways .... so here is some helpfull advice (if you can call it that).
