Guys first and for most thank you for all your well wishes and prayers. That is probably one of the reasons I survived because they were almost positive that I would not. To answer any rumors......No, I was NOT on steroids or supplements of any kind at the time.....lol and definately don't have a eating disorder. Although from this experience I have lost A LOT of weight. I was in ICU for the better part of 3 weeks and was unconscious most of the time so I don't remember much but since I had complete organ failure I was on a feeding tube. Reading your thread brought tears to my eyes and I thank every one of you, I really dont know what to say. I was never able to come up with the $$ for gifts and things are worse now but I hope my little one understands.....she seems to just be happy mommy is ok. The pain is almost unbearable at times and I don't have $$ for a doc. to get a perscription for pain med but again I believe things will work out. I will tell you that my complete perspective on life has changed and definately for the better.

Great to have you back and I'm sure no one will begrudge this being a sticky for a few days considering the concern everyone had for your welfare.

My hands were hurt and in turn injected with lidocaine. The lidocaine was passed the experation date and bacteria had setteled in it. When the lidocaine was injected I was infected with the bacteria. Everything shut down.....Actually died for a few minutes. For a few days they were tellin my family they didn't think I would make it. I have some Renal failure but that will pass in time. (memory loss of past and present events). And as I mentioned abscesses on my hands from the IV which hurt like hell. (Shows how much I luv u guys cause typing hurts like hell!!)

Glad you are OK.

I know it hurts to type, but who administered the lidocaine? seems to me like clear malpractice. Sicne you stated that financially, things are tough, you may want to look into this....

Wow Star...that's scary. Where did the lidocaine come into play? I had a similar experience once. I was in a real bad car accident and was transported by ambulance. The ER doc gave me lidocaine to ease the pain in my mouth from eating the steering wheel but I ended up being allergic to it.

Unless you gave it to yourself...it sounds like someone screwed up big time.

Sounds like a motherfucking killer lawsuit to me Star, but I assume from your above post it wasn't at a doctor's office?
I am glad you are ok, keep your head up, you're still alive for a reason. :)
 
You sound like a very strong person star. I am very sorry to hear what you are going through, and you will be in my thoughts and prayers. I've just went through two accidents in a span of ten days nether were my fault and the second I wasn't even in my vehicle and it was hit. but as they say the good and the bad come in bunches, and I think it's your turn now for the good.

Glad to hear that you are doing better,lady! Sounds as if you are in for a tough haul. I pray that your pain leaves and your lilttle girl brings you some strenght to fight like hell!
 
I couldn't think of a better way to start a week then reading this Star. Glad to see that you are getting better.
 
Very sorry to hear about this nasty incident but I'm very glad you are well on the way back! Best wishes for a fast track path back to the gym, happiness, family and the good things in life!
