This is a fucked up disturbing video. If you still shop at J.Crew after this...

If it wasn't against the law and only option, I would. I don't think animals should be abused. You are correct about animals being dropped off at shelters.

So are we arguing the humane treatment of animals or the difference between American Culture and other cultures?

So, what are you and everyone else in this thread going to do? Are you going to change your shopping habits? Because I'm sure J. Crew isn't the only American operation that is letting this happen. Are you 100% sure the beef you ate from some cow recently was treated humanely prior to be being butchered?
i don't care as long as we're arguing. but no, i am as guilty as the rest, cuz i'm a willing BBQ participant. i'm just saying, people are crazy, mean and stupid. and rarely do these conversations ever go beyond agreeing to disagree. nothing will be resolved. until there are no animals left. then we'll dine on Indians and Chinese. didn't Dr. Suess write a book about this?

You are kidding me right? Are you really that shallow over clothes?
You do realize the power behind the american consumer and what they buy and where they choose to shop. BIG POWER in consumers.
American car dealerships used to crash test their automobiles with dogs and chimps in them. It was stopped...guess why?

Again with the name calling.

That's the point I was making. Its more than just the clothing industry. Not one person in this thread that complained said they were going to change their habits. Not one person said they were going to write a letter. Everyone got on their soapboxes, yet they did not offer a solution.

Yes, I believe he did.

Dealerships don't do crash testing, but test facilities do. I would like to see some proof of this because I've worked at crash test facilities with some old timers...like 40 and 50 years in the auto industry. I've never heard of that.

Although one time me and another guy strapped ourselves into a Crown Vic and hit the stop at 30mph. Thank God for airbags. It was a total rush.

That's because I already donate money, etc to the Humane Society, feed stray cats, all my pets are rescues, check the labels for "not tested on animals" and when possible, buy meat that's Organic or cage-free etc etc.....

Unfortunately the propensity of Americans to be unwilling to pay a high price for meat will most likely not result in more humane/sanitary, etc methods of raising animals for food goods any time soon......

It´s a small price difference, but I still get the standard-bio-industry chicken eggs, not the happy-chicken-rights stuff in green packs. Just because this way I get a bigger more practical pack
