FAR WEST SIDE PILL SMUGGLER GETS PROBATION
A 32-year-old Far West Side man was placed on two years of probation yesterday after pleading guilty to smuggling 2,360 pills and vials of steroids into central Ohio. Gabe Reitter III of 5389 Whirlwind Cove Dr. admitted having the contraband mailed on Oct. 16, 1998, to his home from a supplier in San Ysidro, Calif.
Postal inspectors intercepted the shipment and found the pills and vials inside the package. Steroids are controlled substances under law.
Reitter had received five similar shipments earlier, postal inspectors reported.
