This Board + America Is Full Of Racists

Get your facts straight, prick. And to think that I was just about to agree with you on everything else you've posted on this thread.

I am sure you know your Aussi history. There was a time when Europeans paid people to come and kill Aboriginals and that is a fact. If you would have seen through the obvious, you would have known that I said that in order to get a rise out of her and not to insult all Australians. I guess it flew over your head.

I do not mind that you are calling me names. You are free to voice your opinion.

**EVERYONE READ MATT'S LAST PARAGRAPH, REGARDING *WHY* SH*T LIKE THIS IS CELEBRATED!!**

Good post, although I think more of the "poor" actually support this than we think...IMO.

Ahh 2Thick, where have you been? Can;t say I agree with all your shit but welcome back.

I have been around. All of this attention and has roused my rebel spirit.

Maybe you only saw short clips of Palestinians celebrating because the news is generally played in short clips. There is also the possibility that it was a little dangerous.

The Rodney King tape was 81 seconds. Did you ever see the whole tape on the news? No! It showed like 4 seconds. In this tragedy, we saw the same videos over and over of the planes hitting the WTC and the collapse. There is hours of footage. every political figure wants to chat, from Mayor Giuliani up to Prez Bush, so the clips are kept short. Standard fare there.

Yes, I saw celebrations in Cairo.

Yes, it may have been dangerous but the people were happy...lol

Don't get me started on the Rodney King video. I wish all Americans would have seen the whole tape (and the chase that preceded the beating). Then people would understand why the officers were found not guilty by the courts (the first time).

Well, I guess they did celebrate in Cairo, then.

Back to seriousness: Interesting that you would say that living on a foreign military base is different than actually living in the country. Did your family live on one or something? I don;t recall you saying you were a vet....though you may be.

From where I have stood, living on a base in a foreign country is worse than just living there. You really get a good look at the true colors of people in that situation, because most of them do NOT want you around. You should not discredit those who lived overseas on base. Yes, teh bnases are Americanized - hell they have Burger Kings - but step off the bsae and face the icy stares of people who don't want you there. So yes, it is different. It is a better look at people than being a private citizen.

So you can see that being in the military is not the best way to meet and greet the locals (seeing that they usually don't like you).

The root cause of this entire event and mentaility among those who advocate and participate in terrorism is the scapegoating of the US and Israel by Islamic/Arab leraders, so that they may deflect the anger of their poor people. Meanwhile, the rulers live in wealth that would be extravagant in the US.

Welcome.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!

I was wondering if anybody else was catching the real angle of the zealots.

Damn, 2Thick, that comment on Rodney King and WHY THOSE POLICE OFFICERS were ACQUITTED the first time was amazing.

I know you just like to play devil's advocate, BUT D*A*M*N you're good at it.

Some people here really think you're a liberal, I think. I caught that "Most would be surprised about how I feel about Arab's" line...

;) ;) :D ;) ;)

Whatever do you mean:)

2Thick,

As an aside, Rodney King has been arrested 8 times since his settlement.

2Thick, what things have you seen that would make me cringe? i am curious.

Next to seeing people freeze to death while trying to escape through the mountains for my life (as a young child with my parents), all other events seem trivial. I have also been witness to shootings, stabbings and savage beatings while growing up in the worst neighborhoods in my state. I could go on, but I would rather not drudge up old memories that have been long suppressed. I am not letting anything in my past hamper my forward progression in life because every time I start to feel sorry for myself, I remember where I came from and why I must succeed.
