I think you would be very surprised about my real opinion of many Arabic people. I am just trying to show an opposing viewpoint and bring a little reason to the board.
I just read the paper, I just read a page, with ragheads celebrating in the streets, I felt sick. What kind of people are they? Disgusting.
I’ve had it with this shit, I get dissed on because I call them ragheads, say they are disgusting people, I hate them, and if you don’t like it, DON’T fucking read my posts.
Just because he's a mod doesn't give him God given power to offend my country. "Oh, 2thick must be right because he's a moderator on the EF boards."
What do Aussies think, We're shocked even people over here are upset. Don't forget so many people were involved it's bound to touch or affect someone close to you
Well surely you could understand, as an American who likely than not knew people in the Tower why 2Thick may have said this. I don't think he meant anything by it.
There are two people I know of on this board that where in the tower.
I am sure that most countries where represented in the tower
Bin Laden under house arrest: report
Afghanistan's ruling Taliban militia had placed alleged terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden under house arrest in the wake of the suicide attacks on the United States, an Arabic online newspaper reported.
Quoting "fundamentalist Arab sources", Ilaf said the "Taliban have arrested Osama bin Laden before placing him under surveillance with several of his assistants," including the head of the Egyptian branch of Al-Jihad Ayman Al-Zawahri and bin Laden's military commander, Muhammad Atef Al-Makni.
"A number of Afghan fighters are under house arrest along with bin Laden," said the report late Wednesday.
But a diplomat at the Taliban's embassy in Abu Dhabi said he could not confirm the report.
"All we know is that he (bin Laden) is somewhere in Afghanistan, but we are not aware if he is under house arrest," the diplomat said.
Bin Laden and commander Atef have been indicted for the 1998 bombings of the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.
Bin Laden has emerged as the prime suspects in yesterday's kamikaze hijacked passenger jet strikes on New York and Washington.
Ahh 2Thick, where have you been? Can;t say I agree with all your shit but welcome back.
Maybe you only saw short clips of Palestinians celebrating because the news is generally played in short clips. There is also the possibility that it was a little dangerous.
The Rodney King tape was 81 seconds. Did you ever see the whole tape on the news? No! It showed like 4 seconds. In this tragedy, we saw the same videos over and over of the planes hitting the WTC and the collapse. There is hours of footage. every political figure wants to chat, from Mayor Giuliani up to Prez Bush, so the clips are kept short. Standard fare there.
Yes, I saw celebrations in Cairo.
Would it be poetic justice if Israel flattened the pyramids with missiles? After all their ancestors built them...J/k.
Back to seriousness: Interesting that you would say that living on a foreign military base is different than actually living in the country. Did your family live on one or something? I don;t recall you saying you were a vet....though you may be.
From where I have stood, living on a base in a foreign country is worse than just living there. You really get a good look at the true colors of people in that situation, because most of them do NOT want you around. You should not discredit those who lived overseas on base. Yes, teh bnases are Americanized - hell they have Burger Kings - but step off the bsae and face the icy stares of people who don't want you there. So yes, it is different. It is a better look at people than being a private citizen.
The root cause of this entire event and mentaility among those who advocate and participate in terrorism is the scapegoating of the US and Israel by Islamic/Arab leraders, so that they may deflect the anger of their poor people. Meanwhile, the rulers live in wealth that would be extravagant in the US.
