Most of the world, yesterday, watched several attacks on America broadcast over their television sets. The number that have died/are still dying is not KNOWN, but is expected to be upwards of 10,000+

And knowing that there are factions of some Middle Eastern nations that are HAPPY when they see this...well, let's just say it doesn't BRING PEACE, OR TOLERANCE TO MY MIND.

I am American, and everything I've seen over the last 36 hours or so, makes my red-blooded soul angrier than I may have ever been before.

I am glad we have a president that WILL MOST LIKELY TAKE ACTION, AS SOON AS IT IS POSSIBLE!

He nevertoobig :- I live in the UK to, I lived in Saudi Arabia for four years in the 80's. I have close family in the US to. My point is, we should'nt be taking it out on all Muslim's, just the extremists.

We have extremists here. I see every Saturday morning on the High Street telling us about our corrupt society, the evils of the West etc. They want Shariah law in the UK (their words, not mine). Rally for Islam in London, yeah they are here these fuckers (the extremist's that is), they are in the US, they are everywhere.

It is unfortuanate that they will get caught up in the backlash, but if that's what it takes to ensure the future safety of my family, friends, country and way of life so be it. Perhaps the may be able to persuade extremist Mulslims of the precarious prediciment.

For example, a military operation on Afgan WILL cause casualities, but I'd rather it happened to them than us ie, another terrorist attack.... who knows maybe on Canary Wharf, maybe someone you love would die.... how would you feel then.

At the end of the day it is not right that innocent people, like those killed in NY should be killed or suffer, but THEY made this happen and if we don't take STRONG action, they will do it again, quite possibly to the UK.

Btw. Iraq TV, Cairo, Palenstine people all celebrating. I would personally deal with these people as I would deal with the terrorists.

And you know this how? Were Palestinians weeping, horrified in their homes shown on the BBC? I doubt it.

And 2Thick, how do you know they only showed 15-20 people. I think you're making a ASS-umption about that. It was reported on the news that Egyptians were also celebrating, lining up at shop windows in Cairo to watch the TV reports and trash the U.S. (see other threads on EF).

Okay then why did I only see the same 15 Palestinians celebrating in all of the news coverage yesterday? I watched all of the main broadcast companies in the US, the BBC, the CBC, and many other international sources. You would think that the camera people would film as much footage as possible, but they didn't. Anyhow, I do not believe that anyone in Egypt was celebrating unless I see it with my own eyes.
