This "almost" makes me want to get a dedicated PhysX card

Almost. It'd be cool if ATI worked with Havok on something to outdo this. Or if Havok did something open and completely software based.

Fuck yeah! I didn't know they were making a part 2.

I think I played through part 1 at least 5 times.

I tried to install it when I bought my new laptop and could never complete the install (I think because of Vista).

Game looks awesome. Don't know why you'd need a dedicated PhysX card for it tho.

Because nVidia owns PhysX, and you need an nVidia card to run it. And unless your main nVidia card is top of the line, usually need an additional dedicated one to run it "well".

lol @ you not even reading a review if you think that.

why don't you actually read a review before you try to clown someone for not reading a review. I just took a quick hop back to tomshardware to verify that I was remembering correctly.....and sure enough the 5970 is still king. Go on...go look for yourself. The 5970 was something like 13-15 frames faster at the higher resolutions. Mabye there's some stuff in the fermi cards that just isn't being written for right now....but in terms of the current games out there, there's no contest, 5970 hands down. Heck, the 4870 still hangs with the new fermis'

Not to mention they're both slightly less power hungry and might still end up being cheaper to boot. We'll see, but yeah so far the Fermi cards are "underwhelming" according to Tom's.

One additional thing to note is that with Nvidia's "The Way It's Meant To Be Played" business tactics those cards should really be performing better than they are in today's games, considering they're like the "lead platform" on the PC side of the industry.

The review I've read the most is the pc perspective review... Comparable performance to the 5970 for hundreds less, and this card will be available shortly while the 5970 is nowhere to be found... anywhere. I have a 5850 in my i7 desktop right now, and am very impressed. The one aspect I'm fairly disappointed with is no 3 monitor support on one card like the 58xx series of ATI cards. Eyefinity is pretty fun to play COD on.

Wow, that looked way better than anything I've seen on a console.

What are the controls like on a PC though? Is it as easy to play as a console?

Maybe I should get back into this gaming stuff.

b0und (hasn't gamed since highschool)

Keyboard/Mouse is far easier than analog sticks for shooters. The PhysX effects require a good graphics card though, and is only through Nvidia.
