With too much time on my hands today I wondered... WHY can't they make a substance that can cause the body to produce MORE androgen/anabolic receptors? Or make the ones we have be more receptive????
PBR said:Ive been told that doing AAS cycles over the years actually does make up more receptors....I DONT KNOW if there is any TRUTH to this claim or not.....it was thought years ago that methandriol dipropinante did this very thing , but apparently that was a bogus claim.....GOOD QUESTION.....I often wondered if using GH helped along these lines also?????I wish we would find an alternative route for building muscle mass....sure would be nice to give up AAS and all the post cycle therapies.....you know???
nelson...I agree....if this were true, a little AAS would go along way and dosages would be half to a quarter to what experienced users are injesting...I will say one thing on this note: I have noticed that when I start a new cycle, I show signs of being "ON" in a matter of DAYS, where as it used to be weeks before I would feel anything and wondering if my products were real or not....and it can be anything also, any type of AAS will show action within days of injesting for me now....what would you attribute this to??? (sensitivity)...thanks for your input and time.....Nelson Montana said:I never bought the "up-reglation" theory. It just doesn't make sense. How can a drug become increasingly more effecive? If that were the case, experienced users would need less and less. That's just not the case. Psuedoscience poppycock mixed with wishful thinking IMO.

pot, while I dislike and have no interest in it anymore, the first time I used it I was the highest I've ever been off it...
Nelson Montana said:There is a certain sensitivity issue and AAS aren't alone in that. Somehow the body recognizes the presense of the drug quicker. This is very noticable with pot. The first few times people try it -- nothing, then after the third time...BAM. But that still doesn't discount the tolerance factor. The body will always try to remain in homeostasis and attempt to build up an immunity to any outside influence.
BodyByFinaplix said:Nelson, I would agree if we were talking theory... I don't like the shitty pseudo-scientific garbage proposed by many bodybuilders with no real scientific background. I was refering to what scientist have discovered about AR upregualtion based on dose in double-blind studies. AR upregulat based on dose, and very rapidly. Of course they haven't tested anything over 600 mg of test per week as of yet.
ung, I think compairing androgen activity in the body to smoking pot is a very poor comparison.
Which leaves a great big door for smaller companies and or scientific personnel to develope new avenues....the money that could be made- would be staggering.....yes" they" carry a stigma...but only in the open forum....professionals in all aspects of all sports know that a new discovery would be of biblical proportions...not to mention the commercial/ retail arenas....maybe some day.....nadr7891 said:IMO if drug companies wanted to focus on creating kinder, gentler and more effective steroids (or supplemental drugs to make existing steroids work better) they could easily do it. these are very old drugs. but, there's more money in other types of drugs and steroids carry a stigma because of so much abuse. so they spend their R&D on other shit.
