You make the mistake of automatically assuming that steroids are detrimental to your health. Used correctly, steroids are actually beneficial to one's health. Many studies support this.
True... But, I also don't think a doctor prescribes 1000+ grams of test per week. That's abuse.
Bikinimom - First off, let me explain that I wasn't trying to bash on you, or your view. I agree with everything you said. It would be a terrible way to live, anorexic or blumimic. It was just your approach, how you said it that seemed more of an insult than words of encouragement... and as you know, when struggling with an addiction/mental illness, words of encouragement are exactly what people need more than anything else.
And I STRONGLY DISAGREE with your assessment about elite. That when one asks advice about A/S and other drugs that the person making the inquiry is NOT CAUTION HEAVILY ABOUT THE HEALTH RISKS AND SIDES ASSOCIATED WITH ALL USE!
True... BEFORE someone starts the gear, everyone is cautious, letting people know that they should be educated before use...
But my point is that we don't have any forum set up for people that want to stop gear but feel they can't because anyone that has used, knows that coming off sucks. We would go to a different site to seek that information... however, you attacked their board because you didn't think they offered a place for help... however it is okay for ours not too??? Not saying we should, or that I want it, but if a non user comes to this site, it doesn't look like we encourage natural lifting. Hypocritical statement.
I recently asked on the training board why a guy who had done so well w/out the use of A/S and did a very mild cycle with good results was now going to do a MUCH BIGGER ONE.... I asked why he would not just stick with mild cycles....
This is the beginning of addiction to steroids. You see how much you grow with just a little bit, how much more would you grow with twice the dosage? Then, when you come off, your muscles start to shrink, you look for another cycle... yet, this one has to be bigger and better than the last in order to be as effective. A never ending cycle for gear heads that choose to juice all the time. Actually, I would choose to argue that this isn't so much a choice as an addiction, as anorexia and blumimia.
Do you have children? Or has anyone that you have cared for EVER suffered from this affliction? If the answer is yes, then I think you might understand my passion.
Yes, I do. I have a 4 year old daughter. Her mom was anorexic for about two years. I share your passion, and promote your words of wisdom and encouragement. As you indicated, you had suffered through this throughout your teenage years... who better to offer words of encouragement, and alternatives to the lifestyle they have become accustomed too.
I have NEVER gone on any of these websites no matter HOW TWISTED and flamed or bashed anyone. I am compassionate enough to know that these people no matter how twisted DO NOT NEED RIDICULE.
And, this is why time after time I choose to read your posts. This one just kind of surprised me because it was not done in your usual manner, and that is why I replied to your thread the way I did.
