the zone or low/no carb?

ZONE.....Take your time dieting dont rush it with keto/atkins because 1timers always crash unless u did this before than hey its your call:)

I find the Zone a much easier diet to follow than a ketogenic one, however I tend to lose more muscle. Par Deus has suggested that an isocaloric diet, which is not substantially different than the Zone(Isocaloric = 33% carbs, 33% fat, 33% protein, Zone = 40% carbs, 30% fat, 30% protein) along with periodic refeed days, which are very similar to the carb-up on a CKD, would actually be better than a CKD for maintaining muscle and losing fat.

Something I should have mentioned but did not is that low/no-carb diets tend to be better for controlling food intak due to the much smaller variety of highly palatable foods.

I think the zone is a more realistic, long-term diet. You won't get the quick, sometimes dramatic initial results that a CKD can give. But as far as longevity and, as ddc said, as a good weightlifting diet, I think the zone is best.
