You might want to get a cc and just charge enough every month to build credit and pay them off every month.

My dad had me take out $500 loans in the summer when I was young and then pay them back over the summer just to build up my credit. I'd say start building it one way or another. You don't want to wind up with no credit and find yourself ready to buy a house. That happened to my uncle and it was a huge pain in the ass.
