the Universe Is Not "Billions of Years"Old (Imnotdutch)

I dont have an open mind? Do you see me denying religion or science?

I asked you to come back because people posted good arguments against your cut and paste........why cant you answer them? Surely you understand what you and they posted right? I think not........else you would have responded to them in detail by now.

Hmm yes, i would like to turn this around on you: A debate requires participants with open minds so you could not take part.

BBB your answer to Norman Bates was pitiful.........

He criticised a lot of your 'evidence' and you asked some weak questions in response to only two of his comments.

You are calling me confused when you openly request help in plagiarising an easy paper and do nothing but cut and paste things that you dont understand?

How can religion and science co-exist when you deny a key idea in science just because it steps into what you perceive as religions realm. You pick and choose the science that you want to believe even when there is good evidence for evolution........see previous threads because many have presented the ideas.

Lmao, same goes for fucking religion.

I'm sorry, I didn't' read through the whole thread, only the first page, and the last few posts.. but are you saying that religion and science can co-exist? if so.. why the fuck are you arguing on about how untrue science is? Science and Religion are both the same.. they are something to believe. Some believe in science, for it has more logic, while some believe in Religion, which has more answers. Personally, I think believing in religion is completely ignorant, believing something just because its in a book thousands of years old. its a fucking book.. shit, seriously... If I were to believe something out of a book.. I might as well believe in hobbits, elves, and dark lords.

yes indeed religion and science can co-exist! I think you are misunderstanding this post. if you were raised on one view your whole life(which I was in my younger years) like everyone is in public schools, you will believe this simply because you have no understanding of anything else. the one who make a choice to research this with a clear and open mind can see this. do you know about evolution? obviously if you went to public school you were brain washed to believe it. so, if you want to learn, and try to understand, you need to research the bible. do you believe a god created you? or do you believe you evolved from nothing at all? they both make about the same since right? yes, it's a old book, and it so happens that this "book" has hundreds of prophecies that have come true. and yes, both evolution and creation are religions.

I was brought up largly Baptist... I chose not to beleive after certain happenings later in my childhood I will not discuss at this moment. Evolution was mentioned in High School, but by no means taught, or forced.

I actually agree with something you said :)

People tend to believe what their community believe. For example, I teach in a city dominated by muslims......and its quite a narrow interpretation of the Quran to say the least. The kids find it hard to believe that God doesn't actually move the planets with his hands for our entertainment.

Similar things can be said about other religions........and other belief systems. I tink you are correct in that many people just accept things becaise a scientist said it. They dont understand that science is built on theory and evolving ideas.

So for some people, who do not know about evolution in detail, it can be seen as a religion. However, when you do look at it in detail it is logical and it is an objective interpretation of many pieces of evidence. So for those that have bothered to do research it is not a religion at all........unlike believing in man being made by God for example.

you'll have to be a little more clear about what you are reffering too their einstein. your damn right a pick and choose! I pick out the bull shit, and choose what has the most logic.

so to make things clear here, you belive god created the big bang? is this what your getting at? do you believe in god?

this is my point sir. something bad happend, or life just sucks, so you CHOOSE not to believe, it is your choice, even though it could be right, or there could be facts, or you could learn and understand, you choose not too. and evolution is forced in high school to be correct.
