The tube feeding begins

Ok I forgot the best part. I have to be hooked up to the TPN bag(food) for 10 hours a day!!! Look like I will be sitting home during the nights LOL. Not like I got out before. I told Bicepts he could take me to a party and leave me at the table and point to me and say "yup thats my bitch over there with the IV poll and the bag of mush" And that he want to save some money now would be the time to take me out to dinner.

Just popping onto the thread with pancreatitis she would need to be fed parenterally to allow the pancreas to heal which can be quite some time, like weeks in severe cases.

sorry to hear your pancreatitis has returned covergrl, now I feel like a turd for hazing you. Anyways, make sure you see a specialist on pancreas divisum. You can have it treated before you progress to chronic pancreatitis by stenting the duct or having surgery.
Usually stenting the duct first then surgery if that doesnt work although surgery has a better success rate.
Stenting is what is done with a blocked coronary artery in heart disease, just go in the vessel and put a metal scaffolding in there and then inflate a balloon which pushes the scaffolding out which widens the vessel and the stent stays enlarged.
Deflate the balloon and withdraw, its just basic plumbing procedure.
That allows for flow of pancreatic juices alleviating the pancreatitis and damage to the pancreas.

Good luck

LOL yeah you mean shit!! hazing.

They plan on going in to fix things after the pancreatits is gone. They want to make the bowl duct bigger and they also need to look for crystals and sludge that could not be seen by US,CAT or MRI
Time will tell all.

oh you poor thing i thought you were just going in for some nasogastric feeding while they did somehting or other, not total parenteral nutrition! that sucks :( (out of interests sake, do you have any idea how expensive it is to feed someone parentarally? in australia, its something like 300 a DAY :eek2: i almost fell over when i found out! (i was in that little room preparing all the parentaral stuff, along with chemo...spare a thought for the poor tech thats wearing 2 cleansuits 2 pairs of gloves 2 facemasks and those funky slippers, covered in ethanol, just for you :) i was high as a kite in there :D )

anyhow i hope this is over with quicksmart, and dont listen to the guys saying they can see your boobs

...we know theyre too small to see ;)
