Almost everyone I know has a business and I have never heard them mention profit margins. That talk is for business students and stockborkers.

We just talk about business improving or being bad. Small simple words work just fine in the real world.


I am not a businessman, I am a photographer. Most people would far prefer to be a busy photographer in my experience.

OK, profit margin is bad choice of words. Don't you still talk about take home vs gross income? Same thing. I mean it doesn't matter that you draw $90 an hour if your expenses are $80. That doesn't tell me anything, that's why I asked about profit.

You felt it necessary to bring up how much you make so I'm am just trying to understand, being naive and all.
