Anyone see the Scorpion King? I went and saw it friday night, I thought it was really cheesy. I know that arnold isnt a great actor, but the Rock should stick to wrestling, just my opinion though. I cant believe that he didnt get more cut up for the movie, I think there was only 1 seen where they show him with no shirt on. Maybe its just me, but, I would think that if i was gonna be in a movie i would get as ripped as possible. Holy shit did micheal clark duncan look big, i think he would fuck the Rock up, I never knew that dude was that muscular.

oh yeah, almost forgot about Kelly Hu, dam shes hot. I need to find myself a little hawaiian chick that looks like that, my god.
 
Machine,I'll play devils advocate here,I LOVED IT!I thought The Rock had a reserved,well disciplined performance.No WWF hollering/bravado.I believe the Rock has all the potential to be the next big action star.I would recommend Scorpion King to all the brothers,I will probably go see it again.Just my .02.
 
This should be on the chat board, but who cares.

I saw the movie...and all I have to say is if you go in with VERY low expectations like I did, you'll enjoy it.

The cheesiest parts were when he takes his leather armor, or whatever it was, off in slow motion.

Something that bothered me and that I couldn't get over was this stupid movie in the coming attractions. It's about these dragon looking monsters who according to the narrator "Came before the Dinosaurs and are smarter than human being"

That sounds fairly accurate and realistic, it just goes against the theory of evolution, that's all, just a minor detail :rolleyes:

And that was my first movie since, Nutty Professor 2. I hate movies.
 
the rock gave a great performance IMO...as far as action flicks are concerned he's got it down...saw it last night and thought it was great...i mean what did you guys expect...?in addition,in the end,he gets the honey...so he's gotta be the man...right?

Last week someone was interviewing Michael Clark Duncan, in the interview he mentioned how he forgot a fight sequence with the rock and to make a long story short the rock connected with a punch, and in Duncan's own words he snapped his fingers and "was out like a light".. But he is still one big mo fo
 
the first few minutes i was smirking and giggling but after the intro it was really good my chick even liked it, but she said the sorceress(sp?) was fat?!!!!! yeah right i would bang her so fast and hard she would be screaming fina,fina,fina lmao
 
Haven't seen it and don't plan paying to watch it.

Rock is a great entertainer....but his build sucks. He should either be Big or Cut and he is neither.

I thought the movie wasn't all that bad...and to tell you the truth now that im on test my usually reserved "self" couldn't help but stand in attention at seeing that slit down the side of the sorceress' dress....DAAAMMMN!

Oh, and that bodyslam at the end by the Rock to the bad guy was coming...you knew it Andy...

Come on guys, all action movies are corny. They always will be too. I mean you cant have an action kicking asses movie that is "really inspirational and moving" lol :D

Its all about beating someone/something down. Wether its evil or good. I think BigAndy summed it up well.
I saw the movie...and all I have to say is if you go in with VERY low expectations like I did, you'll enjoy it.

I go into every action movie with low expectations. Its the only way it works.

Compared to a Van dam (spelling?) movie how is it? :p

As long as there are good fight scenes and some blow-ups I'll be happy.
 
I'll tell you this much,I liked it a LOT better than Blade II,and I'm a snipes fan.Like I said,I'll be going back to see it a second time.It was a lot of fun to watch,very entertaining.

As far as Van Dam, it's not as good as his earlier work like Double Impact but it's definetely better than most of the current action movies.

To tell you the truth, it's an excellent action movie, it was much better than the X-men.
The Mummy was the worst action movies I've seen and that's what I expected to see but it was well done.

He threw in a few of his facial expressions, the people's eyebrow and 1 bodyslam but it wasn't overdone. I was expecting to see a rock bottom or something stupid but it didn't happen.

So I was disappointed since i'm the type who likes to complain about movies and piss everyone off. :p

If I want to see a bad movie, I should check out that stupid Dragon movie.
