In other news.....

Israel has been in several wars since 1948. They have always won, and won convincingly. An American solider has never fought at the side of an Israeli.

There are roughly 12 million jews IN THE WORLD. So their presence as a voting bloc has been overstated here in the US. Outside of NY, Florida and Chicago, many Americans have never even seen a Jew.


Why have all the oil-rich middle eastern nations allowed their Muslim brethren (palestinians) to be refuges for three generations? Why aren't they helping them?

Israel remains the only Middle Eastern country where a native born Arab can vote.

American support towards Israel is very much due to American interests in that region, i.e. oil.

Well, the debate over whose land it is has been going for ... like, a whole long time, since before Britney Spears was even born and stuff. (Don't mean to be sarcastic, just back from reading some other threads and it crossed over.)

But this "immense Jewish power" that everyone keeps speaking of.... Where? Because lots of the Hollywood studios have Jewish CEO's? I'm the first person to agree that the media is the religion of America, but a few prominent Jews who sign Bruce Willis' paycheck does not "vast power bloc" make!

And Jews in government? Who? The highest level of the government (governors, congress, cabinet, senate, etc) must employ hundreds/thousands of people. Name 20 Jews.

And as far as voting... The Jews tend to be concentrated in New York and New Jersey (I'm not saying there aren't pockets elsewhere....) Jews tend to vote Democratic. Those states are ALREADY liberal because they are urban. (Again, I realize that NY holds much rural land, but population is urban.) So the voting bloc--for all practical purposes--is moot. Instead of by 10%, the Democat wins by 15%. (Excepting Da Man of late, Guiliani.)
