Do you read? I never said that I supported the Palestineans, and I never said I do not respect Israel's cause.

But we have to face the facts: our support of Israel is why all this has happened. We need to ask whether its worth American lives.

Yes I read constantly and I watch very little TV. Good points though and its why the Middle East is sooooooooo maddening. Its like 6 of one and a half dozen of another. Still radical Muslims will always hate us simply because of our way of life, because we are western.

That's true, they are jealous of us because we're democracy.

But, I still believe that none of this would have happened "but for" our support of Israel.

It's a COST/BENEFIT analysis: Is the benefit to Israel worth American lives.

Well, you bring up another point. Was oil worth the war? That's what the gulf war was really about.

Many Arabs resent our presence in the middle east through our support of Israel, and us having bombed Iraq. Bottom line.

THE PRIMARY REASON THEY HATE US IS, IN FACT, OUR SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL. I'm not saying we should be isolationist. But, we do have to recognize what we're fighting for, and we are in some sense, fighting for Israel.
