If you have employees just to count your cash, this thread is not for you.

Any schmuck can order a bottle of Petrus and impress the group, but how about the guy that can order a $5 bottle of Pinot Noir that beats a Chambertin? Or a $15 bottle of LBV port that equalls a '63 Warres?

Post up your fantastic bargains. Everyone wins....

bump for someone to start it,this thread has potential

as for me I break the bank and live well beyond my means

heres something... A good classic outfit, that makes you look like a million bucks, is cheaper than a hip/popular brand outfit.

I agree there,I see the style and fashion board and how these guys spend like 200+ on fucking jeans, fuck if I buy designer jeans they are from winners which is usually half from,I can buy energie or diesel for 50$ or I buy vintage style jeans from wal-mart(yes I fucking said wal mart) for 20-30$ and because they arent tagged on the outside nobody knows.

I also have cheap dress shoes from there that were like 25$ and look just as good as any designer to me, and I buy ringer t's etc from bootlegger etc for like 15$ each usually, and buy other stuff when its on sale usually end of season etc.

this permits me to go out and drink etc and buy expensive cigars.

but even going cheap Im still well beyond my means lol,but honestly if you can make a 50$ outfit look like a few hundred why not, a label means shit to me if it looks good

I read Wine Spectator and Cigar Aficionado since I love red wine and a good cigar. Both often list great choices on a budget or for everyday. For example, I think Chile and Argnetina produce some amazing reds. Here's some of the budget wines I'm drinking now:

Baron Philippe de Rothschild Escudo Rojo

Cline Mouvedre

Montes 'Alpha' Cabernet Sauvignon

Marques de Casa Cabernet Sauvignon

Los Vascos Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva

Cousino Macul Cabernet Sauvignon 'Antiguas Reservas'

Veramonte 'Primus'

George,

I was at a blind tasting where the Montes Alpha beat a Bordeaux 2nd growth! About 4 times the price. Great, very accesible wine and you cant beat the price.

I will also reccomend a great wine if I may

I buy Sawmill Creek merlot for under 10$ cdn a bottle and love it

Like I said in another post, Cardinal Mendoza Spanish brandy. About $40 per bottle, and for me the flavor, texture, aroma just everything is the tits. To me just blows most Brandies and Congacs out of the water. But what do I know, I love a Chicago hot dog with cheese fries.
