The Pre-Resiquites of Juicing???

I was just wondering what everyone out there thinks should be pretty much "automatic" Pre-reqs before you start using gear. For example, Should at least have trained naturally and CONSISTANTLY for 2-3 years? or maybe a certain age? a certain BF%? or any other things you all think should be a "given" before you strat the sauce. Let me know what all you veterans out there think. Later -diesel420

I don't agree with the wait until you hit your natural limit theory. I mean shit that wouldn't happen until your in your 40's.lol. I wish I would of started earlier but didn't have the means for the gear. I gained great for the first two yrs. but slowed after that. So If I could go back and do it all over again I would of started after my 2nd yr. of training. And I think anything under 18 would probably be too young unless your happy with the size of your bone structure.

In my opinion it is when you are done growing as far as height is concerned. This is usually around the age of 17 or 18. Also after you have trained solid for atleast 1 to 2 years. Although you could still keep gaining, you probably would have hit a bit of a plateau at this point

Actualy I forgot the most important thing. Research so you know exactly what your putting in your body, know you have the right doses and right gear for the gains you are looking for, and know the risks.

People are going to hate me for how I answer this... but I'm going to be honest. I am 43 now. I didn't start juicing till I was 25. If I had it to do over again I would probably have started at 16.

It would have been impossible to juice when I was 16. Gear was readily available... but information was not. Nobody had ever heard of Anti-Es, HCG, clomid, proviron, etc... and the concept of "stacking" steroids and knowledge about individual drugs was non-existant.

The problem with starting juicing this young is obvious... we don't know how it will affect the developing heart. (Arnold started on primo and d-ball when he was only 15. Your guess is as good as anyone's if this is the cause of his heart and kidney problems.)

I truthfully think the minimum sensible age for juicing is 20-21. That is an age when you are still making great gains year in and year out. But I can tell you honestly, I didn't juice till 25 cuz I didn't need to. I was cut, ripped, shredded and buff at 25 without juice. I was also out benching the juicers at my gym. I only started juicing to help treat a leg injury. The added muscle was icing on the cake.

MATURITY; when take gear it does make you a bit more agressive, confident..........etc. its not too long before our hypothetical newbie-gearhead develops a "im a superman" mantality and goes around starting shit with people, if you catch yourself doing then do us all a favor and dont take gear, either a) GROW-UP, or b) Quit juicin till you grow up

Well, I'm new to it, but I'm just starting my first cycle and I'll be 22 in May. I'd already trained for 5.5 years naturally and gained 95 pounds in that time. For me, I didn't want to start until I felt as if I had proven to myself that I was one big mofo on my own. That way, even if I lose some of the gains from juice, although it will suck, I won't have to watch all my muscle melt off and my entire self-identity basically vanish before my eyes. Maybe I worry too much. Anyway, this age feels right for me. As it stands now, I'm glad I didn't start any sooner.

#1 The person considering using AAS should have fully reached tanner stage 5. (This is a better indication of physical maturity than age)

#2 The person needs to have a comprehensive physical to establish health and screen for any medical concerns that may conflict with AAS use.

#3 The person should be have demonstrated a significant degree of physiological adaptation through natural diet and training before AAS use is considerd. Qulifiying "significant degree of physical adaptation" will vary among the population. In general, for the prospective bodybuilder, they should be able to demonstrate an ability to achieve effective muscle growth over time. Included in this criteria is a pre-existing degree of physical fitness.

#4 A fair degree of mental maturity, including the highest degree of respect for ones health.
