The Plague

I just heard on the news that a man (I think from New York, not sure) has caught the plague. Pretty scarey. The plague represents a small threat to us now as we know how to contain it. However while on the topic of infectious disease I was just wondering what many of you thought about the idea of forced vaccinations for smallpox to prevent a terrorist attack? I for one am against it. But what the hell do I know anyway?

interestingly enough, there are about 2000 cases of bubonic plague in the world every year and ~12 cases/year in the US.
