and another thing im not a rare thing in Canada. Where im from for every steve ott there are 20 guys just like me.......some of us he'd even say WERE better than him at one point. I cant even count the number of guys i know in my area where they were at one point NHL prospects......the U.S. is starting to catch up though man.....they're gettin better look for them to do some damage at next years world juniors ( the true world championship IMO).

In my life I grew up and knew 1 guy that got into the NHL (14th overall in 96), and he was a rarity in my area.

Funny how culture can be so different even simply over the distnace of Lake Ontario.

Yeah Marty Reasoner out of Boston College.

Like I said I never played hockey, but I played soccer against that kid (a year younger than me) for years. FYI, he was great at soccer too.

I wasn't until I went to college until I realized how big hockey was, and how much I would liked to have played. Oh well.

Fun to look back and wonder.

As soon as Hasek gets back into the swing of things the Wings will be hard to beat as well. Our defense is unbelievable.
