Patrick McGoohan played king Longshanks in Braveheart. Played a great douchbag.

I've seen him a lot. Just couldn't put a face to the name. He played a good guy in batman.

Fifth Element was a good bad guy role for him. Lost in Space was too, but that movie sucked.

Dood. I own it. I've seen it about 60 times. I love that movie. I can't wait till Dark Knight comes out on DVD. I don't go to movie theaters cause I have a sick home theater. I have to discipline myself to wait.

how about JFK, the professional, true romance, bram stoker's dracula?
One of his best roles, but I figure that I would reference Batman because it just came out.

steven buscemi
he never has big roles, He has gotten more popular , My fav part is in fargo
when they start fighting over who gets the hopty car then you see the other guy shoving bodyparts into a treechipper. He should have said fuck the car and just left .

That plus I can hit pause when I need to go piss. I don't have to sit in a chair loaded with stranger farts. I can lounge in my chair and I don't have to listen to the local homies crack lame as jokes. :mix:

Dood, he's not obscure. Everyone knows who he is.
But he is underrated...I think Johny Depp is underrated while Tom Cruise is highly overrated. Fame is not equal to ability.

Giovanni Ribisi is a very skilled actor.

Too bad him and his sister are both second-generation Scientologist fruitcakes. They were born into the idiocy.

Actors like Brendan Gleeson, Tom Wilkinson & Brian Cox aren't obscure to me either (though as a Brit I'm more familiar with the UK / Irish actors from BBC work etc) though as Java says it's more about how they're rated I guess. Daniel Day-Lewis is possibly the same aswell (highly underrated), whereas everyone knows who Keanu Reeves is, but come on, who rates him? lol.

Good call, but after his Oscar win I wouldnt call him obscure.

Liked John Cusack first time I saw him, in Better Off Dead. And Diane Franklin, the French love interest. IMDB says she's had work I haven't seen, but she should have been in a LOT more stuff.

Peter Weller didn't quite break out the way I expected he would, though he's also far from "obscure" after Robocop.

And speaking of Buckaroo Banzai -- Ellen Barkin FTW!

Have you seen Gross Point Blank? One of my favorite movies. John Cusack is great. Especially in that roll.

One of my favorite scenes was the dialogue between him and his shrink in the beginning.
