I thought they attacked Israel because the U.N. gave Israel their land, and they took it as an affront (similiar to the U.N. giving texas to mexico). And what about the fact that Israelis were terrorists 20 years before the palestinians? i am new to this whole issue of israel/palestine.

Well, Palestine, which was formerly a territory of the Ottoman Empire, was under the control of the UK after WWI and was designated as a Jewish State. There were proposals to partition the land to let the Arabs who were living there, who call themselves Palestinians now, have a state too, but the Jordanians and Syrians gobbled it all up.

You can't reward terrorism, unless we benefit from it that is. Menachin Begin was a terrorist, so were the contras, so were the Mujahideen, so were the KLA, so are some cubans living in miami. How are these groups different than the palestinians?

I make a distinction this way: if the group attacks innocent civilians targets to make their point, ala the Palestinians, they are terrorists. The Israeli women and children killed are not victims of a cross fire, or collateral damage, they are the INTENDED victims.

I am also not impressed that the homicide bombers are young people who are convinced to do this, while their encouraging parents receive $$$ from Sadam Hussein.
