So the vision issue is not directly related to slin but the abuse of it and the onset of diabetes and then vision problems?

Slin and vision problems? This is new to me, searching now but this is the first time I heard of this one.

search harder hoss!!! Look up Waylon Jennings.

Not only did he have vison problems.. but he lost a foot!

insulin causes vison problems after diabetes sets in. It can take awhile before you know you have it.

and all the clomid and nolvadex in the world won't help that. The point is.. it is your body, just be careful and remember who is putting the insulin in you.

Dballer can you please go into more detail about the person who got type 1 diabetes from slin?

well sure,
I know a guy named Bryan. We trained together in Marietta. He knows Steiner too. He would train with us (when I trained with Steiner) on the weekdays. He would talk to me about what gear he was using. Thisa was a few years ago. He would always talk about using "slin" but I had no idea he was talking about insulin. Well.. my membership lapsed and I quit training at that gym. A friend of mine who did train there told me that Bryan does not come in anymore and is in really bad shape. I was kinda bummed about this. We were not the best of friends.. but you know, I did not want him to go and die or anything. I was pretty worried. So I called up there and told the lady working the counter to get his # for me.
Anyhow.. I called him up and asked how he was and he told me not good he had diabetes. At this point I still did not make the connection with "slin" So anyhow, we met up to eat lunch with a few of the guys we trained with. Bryan was pretty damn fat. He had these weird scabs and bruises all over his arms. He had to shoot up the insulin at the table and that is when I began to wonder. When lunch was over.. everyone left. But I was curious. So I asked him what happened. He told me he got diabetes. He said flat out "DBaller, don't use insulin with your cycles" He told me it was the cause of his current condition. He also said that diabetes gets worse with time. Prolonged use of insulin makes that time go by quicker. He told me that along with this.. he was at high risk for heart disease, he was having trouble seeing as good as he did 2 years ago and he gained ALOT of weight. He no longer looks like a body builder.. he looks like someone who has a disease and is not doing really well.

Now... while he was training with me.. he looked good. He was ripped and had some nice size to him as well. I was never that big but I am 28 and he is 33. I do not think that at the age of 33 I need to be worried about the shit he is going through!! Frackal.. I know you are a younger guy.. what 20? 21? Do you want to go out like that? I am not saying you will.. or it will happen overnight.. hell it might not happen. But honestly.. are the risks worth it?

7 lbs in 3 weeks. i have a super fast metabolism. usually 10 iu's a day but went up to 12.5 today. after about 2 hrs i got a little jittery and really hungry. munched on some crackers and downed a dr. pepper and i was fine. typically the only thing i notice is being a littl elight headed for a few minutes. i have actually dropped my bf% as well and i wasnt followin the no fat rule really either. i workout 3 days a week. sunday, tuesday, thursday and only shoot log on workout days. bench has gone up 30 lbs in the three week sive been on log as well. i love slin.

and today at the gyma guy that i only know because we workout at the same days and times but never really talked came up to me and was like "hey man, youve been putting up a lot of weight lately...are you taking anything?"

my reply: "just creatine :D "

Needed:More responses fro frequent "slin" users

Ive use "slin" off and on for two years, mostly during bridges or off for as long as a month to two months then off, and Im 41 having used AAS over 12 years. My only significant blood readings have been my cholesterol. I have only used Humilin R and never more than 10ius post workout once a day(4-5 days/wk). I am impressed with the ability to maximize weight gain as I have trouble gaining weight. This is my .02. I plan to keep using slin
periodically and have read many posts and talked to many fellow builders who have used longer than I and are not suffering .
To be super human and have to take phenominal doses of anything is never my approach. Live a little longer but live a little better.

man this is tough, I have been on slin for 2 weeks and change now, weight is up 12 pounds...

I am 5'10 223 and still ripped, I look as I said before insane,

but I don't want to live a life of pain and suffering just because I needed to be the hulk. I want kids, a family a life after lifting,

But these days for the first time in my life, I have reached that level. People stop me in the street, eating where ever and ask questions about how I got to look like this. Respect is 10 fold these days.

thank you all for your comments and concerns, threads like this are good for the board.

Remember with everything else in this game, its risk and reward.

godspeed

I see your point bro.. but I know 2 people that are type 1. One of them has genetic diabetes. The other got it from continual use of insulin. The way I look at is, she might have came off harsh but at least she came off!! What I mean is.. she did not post all of that becasue she wanted to hurt anyone.. but so they might re-think their actions. I know that after seeing what it is like to be type-1 first hand.. I can tell you that is not a pretty sight.

I just think that for me insulin is not right. I like looking big and being in shape.. I know that I taunt my health with repeated use of test and dbol. But Insulin is a bit diffrent. The gamble is greater than some zits and small balls. As a matter of fact.. I think I would take a big old gyno boobjob over being a type-1 diabetic.

Fonz.. alot of these guys on here are young. I know you are about my age, so it is easy to remember the quick decisions. I just don't want to see anymore of my friends get messed up because of this shit. I know that I am just some guy on a chatboard.. and I doubt anyhting I am going to say is gonna change the minds of a 19 year old kid who has read a little bit about using steroids. BUt it is worth a shot. Like BG.. I do not want to insult anyone. But IMHO it is just a risk that is not worth taking.

Personally, I agree. I don't use insulin and I never will.
I just don't like stretching the truth.
1000IU's/day? Come on......

Facts only here.
