In the 1720s in Holland there was an event now known as the Dutch Tulip crisis where in one day the value of the Tulip market went down 97%. This was due to two basic reasons. Grower hoarding to limit supply and voracious demand by consumers. At some point a broker in the Tulip market got very nervous since he was holding a shit load of Tulips and dumped them into the market and totally devalued the market by that now famous 97%
It reminds me much of how the karma system has been used on elite and how human nature to abuse a basic system designed to render a positive attribute can lead to skewing and chaos of any well thought out plan. Meaning that people will be exercise a fair amount of nonsensical greed no matter how meaningless the commodity.
In recent days EF SAM has had the mega-slam fixed and to further enhance the value of the karma system the ability to disable anyone who engages in the process of karma whoring has been added to the system. Therefor we request that the karma-whoring stop so that you may continue to participate in the karma system.
Should this practice not cease then your ability to participate in the system will be turned off.
