Omega, you just spent a considerable amount of time to search and gathering posts *unless you keep track of posts by certain individuals* just in an effort to sling mud, how very politically correct of you. Your intentions here are nothing more then to attempt to shift things so people stop focusing on you as well as to escalate this into more then it needs to be.

You are wrong for carrying on.

The end.

My opinion on the subject is much like my name on the board HIGHINtensiTY. I look at a lot of these work out plans and it's 9 sets of Chest and done. Going to the gym is a war with your body and the weights. You should push yourself to the brink of no return. So what if you do 20 Set's of chest, just as long as you mix it up and push yourself until your chest ready to explode. Then like the above posts stated REST, don't flood your body with beer and drugs, don't smoke and eat well, you'll be find.

In fact I like to rest only 20 secs in between sets and reps for added acrobic workout.

IT's all about the INTENSITY

Not to be gay or nothing but theses r the sorts of letters I sent my girlfriend from school. I guess im fishing for some ladies to say how sweet it is, but I still can't believe she would treat me like such shit after the kind of stuff I wrote and did for her.

This is a letter a wrote about us...

As the young man prepared to get ready, he noticed a slight anxious feeling present in his stomach. It had been all of two weeks since he had last seen her and the thought of her gentle touch had consumed his mind. He could hardly wait to share her breath or search her eyes, which always conveyed the love that she felt for him so clearly.

He had spent the last couples of days envisioning how this night would transpire. Recalling fragments of there past nights spent together, he was able too mentally recreate the passion that he and she have always felt for one another. But now just an hour away from reuniting, he felt an impatient lust, realizing she was but a short distance away.

Now closer than ever, he could not help but curse the irony, as the once quick drive now seemed to take an eternity. Proceeding northbound, memories of there past were brought to life with the appearance of any familiar settings once enjoyed together. As he pulled into the rural driveway, his heart danced with the notion of excitement. The hours once spent removed from her were no longer a reality.

In the past when time was not of consequence he may have parked the car, but now filled with the jubilance of young love he wasted no time and headed for the door. As he ascended on the quaint yellow house he noticed that the front door was now slightly ajar. And then in such a simple moment, he was able to catch her sight in the moonlight sky and thus stuck by everything that their love represented. And as they proceeded to kiss he could not help but think that yet another chapter had been written in this true love story……

Love,

Kevin

Yeah, well, your sarcastic sneer has brought out the best in me.

You want to bag on my body? Fine, bring it. At least I've got the balls to post pics of myself, post honest stats, and not lie about what I'm capable of.

And really, it doesn't take nearly as long as you might think to find consistent examples of idiocy in your posts.

Lie? How about one truth? Anyone that can back you up? I don't see a lot of defenders running to your aid here.

My next round of pics will be up in July. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you've been training for more than one year. If it gives you satisfaction to compare your pics to mine, go for it.

a. why would a board member I never met before lie, what reason would she have.

b. you asked me for confermation, ill take some pics in July with you...do you expect I person not to get upset when you write libel that says I lie about my stats. And I have been training for six years, have been a pt for three and will try and compete next year.

This is vintage HI. It happens all the time. Once he gets to where he can't argue with someone anymore, he falls back on his only foundation of self-worth, that being his overall prettiness. No matter how hot things get in the kitchen for old HI, he can always fall back on, "I am more beautiful than you are, so I win."

Perhaps I missed the post where someone backed you up. Feel free to provide a link, however, if she's never met you, I fail to see how she can back you up.

Yes, you've posted stats. You want to call it libel? Fine, but I think for it be libel you'd have to show that I deliberately printed false or misleading information about you, and to this point, the only thing I've seen is your word.

My posts here are not about stats vs. stats, or who looks better. Fully 95% of the people on this board look better than I do. I admit that.

My probelm with you is the condescending, insulting attitude you take in many of your posts, coupled with the fact that you seem hellbent on running down some of the people I happen to like.

Plus, you spout psychobabble bullshit about "what the members are really like", and that just takes the cake.

I always wondered what the hell a zinc overdose was and how one could overdose on it.

Definition:

Poisoning from an overdose of zinc.

Poisonous Ingredient

Zinc
Where Found

Zinc
Various zinc salts such as zinc oxide (relatively nontoxic), zinc acetate, zinc sulfate and zinc chloride
Multiple mineral combinations
Multiple vitamin/mineral combinations
Heating or burning galvanized metal releases zinc fumes which cause Metal fume Fever if inhaled.

Symptoms

body as a whole
burning sensation
metallic taste
pain
shock
no urine output
blood in urine
pain upon urinating
collapse
convulsions
fever
chills
respiratory
cough
eyes, ears, nose, and throat
yellow eyes
skin
yellow skin
rash
gastrointestinal
vomiting
diarrhea- watery, bloody
pain upon passing stool
heart and blood vessels
low blood pressure

Home Treatment

Give lots of milk or water immediately.

Before Calling Emergency

Determine the following information:

The patient's age, weight, and condition
The name of the product (as well as the ingredients and strength if known)
The time it was swallowed
The amount swallowed
Poison Control, or Local Emergency Number

If you are concerned about a zinc overdose or toxic exposure, seek medical care immediately at the nearest emergency room. See Poison Control centers for telephone numbers and addresses. Take the container with you to the emergency room.

What To Expect at the Emergency Room

Some or all of the following procedures may be performed:

Dilute with milk or water.
Use gastric lavage.
Administer an antidote.
Treat the symptoms.
Expectations (Prognosis):

The extent of illness and survival depend on the dosage and time to treatment. If symptoms are mild, survival past 6 hours usually indicates recovery will occur. If the poisoning is severe, death may occur up to a week after swallowing the poison.

Zinc and copper are needed in a 10 to 1 mg ratio for proper absorption and for the maintenance of the human body. The two minerals affect many facets of the regulation of blood cells in the body, and an imbalance can lead to anemia. Copper is responsible mainly for the storage and use of iron in the bloodstream, while zinc is needed for healthy cell function, regulating levels of vitamin A in the blood, immune system maintenance and the production of collagen. Zinc also promotes normal fetal growth, and is therefore an integral part of the diet for pregnant women. For pregnant women, the recommended daily allowance (RDA) of zinc is 20 mg, while the RDA for the average adult is 15 mg. Many of these effects have been downplayed recently as zinc has been touted in the last few years as the modern weapon against the common cold. Some research supports this view, while other studies are less supportive of the popular belief.

The Mayo Clinic published an ambivalent study regarding the efficacy of zinc in fighting the common cold in September 1997. The study was conducted by the Cleveland Clinic in 1996. Participants in the study were instructed to take zinc lozenges within 24 hours of noticing cold symptoms. Colds lasted, on average, for four days for those who took zinc, and for seven days for those who took placebo. However, it was noted that even the study participants were unsure as to whether the zinc had any effect. Many of the participants whose colds lasted only four days said that they probably had a mild cold and that the zinc did not affect their health one way or the other. Drs. Philip Hagen and Donald Hensrud of the Mayo Clinic agreed that the use of zinc as a cold remedy has no significant supportive evidence. Dr. Hensrud states that it is important to begin taking zinc at the onset of a cold, within 24 hours, or it is a moot point. The Mayo clinic doctors also suggested that consumers make sure the zinc in their cold lozenge is created from zinc gluconate, which is a form of zinc easily absorbed through saliva. Dr. Hagen stated the importance of not assuming more is better because there is no evidence that taking zinc actually prevents colds, and there is always the hazard of a zinc overdose.

Zinc toxicity is difficult to induce, as doses of up to 40 times the RDA have not always shown side effects. However, some signs of zinc toxicity are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, drowsiness, dizziness, difficulty writing and walking, and restlessness. Zinc overdose can also increase chances of developing anemia, decrease mental function of Alzheimer's patients and lower good cholesterol (HDL) levels while raising bad cholesterol (LDL) levels. Signs of zinc deficiency include sterility, low sperm count, delayed wound healing, loss of taste and smell, rashes, loss of hair and skin lesions.

Some food sources of zinc are egg yolk, milk, maple syrup, black-strap molasses, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, soybeans, whole-grain products, wheat bran, wheat germ and yeast. It is thought, however, that wheat products may decrease the absorption of zinc because of the phytic acid they contain. Dairy products are also thought to decrease zinc absorption, even though they contain the mineral. The best food sources of zinc, which also increase absorption, are beef, lamb, pork, poultry, and seafood, including herring and oysters.

Diuretics, oral contraceptives, alcohol and coffee lower zinc levels in the blood, and tetracycline (when taken within 2 hours of a zinc supplement) can decrease the absorption of zinc. In addition, zinc has been known to interfere with calcium and copper absorption. If zinc supplements are being taken, then copper is needed at a ratio of 1 mg of copper to each 10 mg of zinc because the zinc will hinder the body's ability to absorb copper. It should also be noted that doses of zinc should not exceed 30 mg without a doctor's approval.

Pointless to argue with any of us because it's in peak hours? What, you only want to post at three in the morning when no one's on to refute you? Please.

I have my clique? What, I have to be lumped in with a group now? I seriously hope you're not thinking that I asked or expected Nature Boy or Gymtime to speak in my defense or on my behalf.

As far as why I got involved: you, in essence, called me out when you posted that the easiest road to popularity was to not stir the pot. So which is it? Stir the pot or don't?

Finally, I also hope you don't think I was expecting a list of your supporters. I was merely stating the fact that I had not seen anyone other than you comment on your stats.

This has been completed debated for years han. but thanks for chimming in. Decline I would say yes and a powerlift BB...But as far as bodybuilding I would always recomend as correct form.

Lowering the bar to just below the lower chest and powering up with a slight recession back to the head pushing through the chest.

Its a difference between powerlifting and BB, but yes some lat work is used...I fax you my aces card...

Well I dont want to change the tone of this thread...you seem to be in need of a good flaming. Far be it from me to deprive the public of their fun.

But it just disturbs me that you teach people this crap. It is not a matter of BB or PL...it is a matter of right and wrong. Elbows out benching in an arc(BB)...increases your chance of injury due to the increased bar travel, but more importantly the INCREASED SHOULDER ROTATION.

I could continue this debate...but why bother. Just irritates me that people pay you to teach them to bench this way. Anyway back to the flaming. Didnt mean to inject too much intelligence into this thread.

B. and the arc acctually puts less stress on the shoulder...find me articals that disprove this...ill look for ones the prove it.

A.If you are bringing it to the lower chest/upper abs as you say...and you are pressing in an arc back towards the rack....how in the hell can you keep your elbows tucked, and still have your elbows under the bar where they belong? I will need to see some diagram on this act of contortion.

B. Once again my original assessment of you being clueless holds true. How can more rotation (the arc) cause less stress on the shoulder girdle then less rotation (straight line). I don't care what articles you can produce...that goes against common sense.

sorry arnold, forget you invented the support...and an arc motion is a more natural fluid motion then a strait up and down vertical lift... I had a poster in the office at the gym that I stared at every day,

Dude....if you can debate the issue intelligently then what kind of trainer are you? If a client comes to you and says "why should I bench like this?"....is that going to be your answer?

If you can prove to me that your way is a better way to bench...then I will switch. My mind is open....what about yours?
