You want to add muscle, right? You'd be better off splitting the body parts up instead of upper body / lower body. You'll be able to lift heavier and harder.
I'd change to a lifting all 3 days, and do 10-15 min cardio as the warm up. No cardio only days.
Day 1 - Chest / Shoulders / Tri
Day 2 - Back / Bi
Day 3 - Legs
Oh, and just to rub it in, my gym was open all through the holidays. It is a 24 hour gym, open 365 days a year.![]()
