There's a lot of validity to what was said here. I can't believe I listened to the first hour of this all the way through, but I was interested in what he was saying.
No doubt that the government just prints more money, and is spending themselves deeper in debt. That's an obvious recipe for disaster.
My dad told me in 2009 that the current economic state will take a turn for the worst after a moderate recovery because of the financial misconduct of our government.
My dad ran 2 different $100M companies to profits during the recent economic crisis. He understands business, money better than anyone I personally know. He is certain that the next wave of economic hardship will be twice as bad as the recent one, which hasn't truly recovered. He said it would be the result of of our governments unwillingness to cut spending, accumulating overwhelming debt, and wrecking our currency's value by printing money.
Simply printing money that exceeds the replacement of worn physical tender, with the goal of pushing debt is extremely unstable. The issue is that money's worth is based upon true value. Printing excessive dolla dolla bills ya'll is not creating a true value, it's a perversion that mimics value, but's it's competent false and empty.
I'm a total believer that the US Dollar is headed down the toilet. It's our government's fault. They have taken stupid steps to try and mend a bad problem that has turned to something we're almost certainly incapable of recovering from at this point.
What will happen to us on the personal level.
Gas will be $8 a gallon, which will be a 400% increase since 2008. Most regular agricultural commodities will be nearly unaffordable because of the rise in gas prices. Shipping goods will simply not be financially viable because people won't be buying it because they can't afford it.
I could go off on a lot of things, but the truth is that there us definitely something bad looming on the horizon because of the irresponsible fiscal actions of the US government. Unfortunately we can't do much of anything about it. Electing "this guy" or "that guy" isn't going to solve anything.
