The debate on the speed of the USPS (Priority Mail) is now OVER !!!!!

There has been a constant debate on these boards about the USPS being slow during these times. Today I finally got sick of all of the speculation, and went and talked to numerous mailmen today.

I talked to four mailmen today about the speed of Priority Mail. I asked about Anthrax, Terrorism, and Christmas. ALL of them said that everything was running as smooth as ever, and that the USPS prides themselves on having accurate and speedy delivery, on all lettters and parcel. Also, they said as far as they know, it is the same all over the country.

I am not meaning to alarm anyone, but it has seemed that I am not the only one who has been waiting for fucking ever on a package, so I hope this helps you.

I think its time to check with out suppliers to see what EXACTLY is going on?

I hope this post puts all of the bullshit rurmors to rest about the USPS.

usps sucks, I deal with them as a LAST resort, airbourne express is even worse.

Damn I was afraid of that...
I have been waiting for some supps from DPS for 3 weeks. Normaly only takes 3-5 days.

I wonder if usps is still seizing batches of mail due to anthrax scare?

i think sources (not all of them) are just full of shit. when they say they have sent, they haven't.

all of my other non-gear realated mail moves fast. but when it comes to my gear orders, all of a sudden the usps is slow. funny how they are only slow with gear orders. . LOL!

sources can be very very slow. not too many of them will take the blame when they can pass it on to the usps.

Priority mail is really slow this time of year. from my experience it is no better than regular mail, its just more expensive!

priority is slow right now.. in addition if your mail travels through certain hubs-- New Jersey being one of them... there have been long delays... I recenty received a first class letter 14 days after it was sent.. it had three post marks on it...

all that said.. sources often say that they have sent.. perhaps just to get you off their back (some of them think that this makes people LESS anxious.. WRONG.. but obviously they must think that the customer finds it soothing because they do it time and time again.. when perhaps they should just tell you that they have not received or that they forgot or their busy.. anything is better than the old "its in the mail")

Well, They can claim it's running as well as ever but....
I asked my postman last nite and he claims they are looking
over everything with a microscope because of credible threats
they've received.
He said parcels are being pulled and set aside and looked at
when they get to it.
So be warned.........

I had a package sent from the west coast 18 days ago priority
and still nothing. And I KNOW it was sent. And I KNOW it was
packaged well.

I sent a letter with some documents last week and it took 7 days to get to the east coast. I called usps and was told everything is fine. They are so full of sh*t. I'm just glad that it got there. They still can't find a letter I sent last month. USPS just sucks. Wish there was another way to do business.
