Do you cook? For me, most (if not all) my appliances are 'tools'. The better the tools, the more I can concentrate on my art. That's pretty much it.

If we care abput our appliances? Darling, seriously! They are the Gisele Bundchen's of our kitchens. They are everything and anything we care for in a house (just second to my plush bed from Duxiana. Curious to learn who I share it with?).

If I ever get divorced (knock on wood, Pups!), I get the Gaggenau oven. And the maid. It is already set in the prenup. But I really love the oven: love the fact that you can raise the temperature as high as 570F and cook the most delicious cut of met for 5 minutes on each side, no more, no less I say, and have a juicy, pink center combined with a crunchy crust. Love the rotisserie, where you can cook poultry to perfection. I know, you are all wondering how in the world Freddie de Lux knows how to operate an appliance. Believe me, you can learn a lot from watching, while holding a martini. Life can go a real long way that fashion...

I adore my Alpes cooktop. Four burners, ranging from gigantic to tiny sizes, for different combination of pots and pans. I have an indoor grill attached to it that I am not a big fan of, as it smokes up my piece of real state. Other than that, it is a great looking piece and the burners in different sizes are really special and efficient.

bosch makes good dishwashers as well

Just saw a new line if 'invisible' dishwashers from Bosch... totally my next buy... cover is the same as the cab's, pretty standard, but the sound damping is the best in the business... with my ear up to the counter i could BARELY hear it running...

My salesman at the showroom says they actually have gotten complaints about the fact that its so quiet you cant tell if it actually started! Love that.

Love my Sub zero fridge, my Asko DW is OK, my Fischer Paykel dishwasher rocks!, oven is Dacor, it's OK, warming drawer is Dacor, Love it! Indoor gas grill and cooktop is Jenn-Aire, it is OK, I did not want that super industrial look of a Viking so I went with the Jenn-Air

Hmmm... jenn-aire.. did you spec ceramic? why?

Ceramic? I don't know, I built my house 3.5 years ago, was ceramic out then????....I have 6 gas burners and a gas grill which can turn into a griddle....the heating is not perfectly even....and I am a little irritated with that, but looks wise, I really thought it was the best

aaaa gas... good.. i detest ceramic cooktops.. personally like nails on a chalkboard.

i dont think i have ever seen a 6 burner Jenn-Aire gas! need to check that out!
