The Best Amino Acid Supplements

Hey guys i was wondering what all of you take as far as amino acid supps. Do you like Twin Lab amino acids or another company. I'm looking for the best one out there. Thanks!!!!
 
amino acids in tab or caplet form are a completetely waste of money,heck! A protein shake like EAS, Muscle milk...etc has around 25,000 mcg's of BCAA's.

Aaah That kinda sux because I work a lot!! And would like something easy/quick to take. Or shit even a canned version of a protein shake. Or i guess I will have to make my drink and put it in a cooler bag...

Thats what i do .plus you're getting a ton of vitamins and antitoxicants.
Plus PROTEIN!

i take 4g of arginine pre and post workout

I go the sames...4000mg of arginine pre/post workout...offcourse i take with that 5 g of creatine pre/post workout....1 multi vitamin in the morning, 3 pills of glucosamine a day...

For aminos and a quick fix, ON's superior amino caps 2222 is good.

liquid aminos like twinlab are pretty good.
 
F**K Beverly!!! I think all their products are over-priced. Amino Gold by Ultimate is a good product and inexpensive.
 
I case anyone is still looking at this one. I like Superior Nutraceuticals great products and competitive prices.

Here is what I take and when. This is all from Superior Nutraceuticals except for two items. Other brands don’t have the same levels in their BCAA’s. They have other good products but this is what I respond well to. Everyone is different.

20 – 30 prior to workout

ArganineEE – 3g
OKG – 3g
Citrulline Malate 2:1 – 5g
CEE – 3g
Creatine AKG(Buy discount protein, vitamins, sports supplements at NutraBio.com.) – 3g
Ascorbic Acid (NOW Foods Ebay) – 2g (always take an antioxidant with your aminos)

Right after workout (some times I start in between my last few sets)

BCAA’s – 7500mg Leucine, 3750mg L-Isoleucine & 3750mg L-Valine in 2 Tablespoons

I take ½ Tablespoon at a time for a total of four. It does not mix in water! You have to put it straight in your mouth and swallow it like a pill. Vary fine powder so try not to let it go up your nose.

Give the BCAA’s 20 – 30 min to get in and then have a protein shake.

20 – 30 prior to bed

Same as pre-workout but you might want to drop the OKG. It can make some people restless.

Seems like everyone is posting up how they get their BCAA's, glutamine, and arginine, so I'll do the same. I get alot of it from protein shakes. I get arginine, glutamine peptide, and Waxy maize powder from True Protein. Big Blast from Protein Factory. Dymatize, ON, and Scivation from the store.

Morning before breakfast: ON Egg Protein shake (BCAA, glutamine)
Mid-morning, empty stomach: 5g Arginine mixed w/ crystal light
Mid-afternoon: Big Blast protein shake (BCAA, glutamine, creatine)
Pre-workout: 5g Arginine w/ crystal light
During workout: Scivation Xtend (BCAA, glutamine, leucine)
PWO: Waxy maize w/ BCAA's and Leucine from True Protein
10 min PWO: Dymatize Whey Isolate (BCAA, glutamine)
10 min PWO: 5g Glutamine peptides
Mid-evening, empty stomach: 5g Arginine mixed w/ crystal light
Bedtime: ON Casein protein shake (BCAA, glutamine)
