Today I had a really shitty start.

Last night I went out to my favorite club with some mates, didnt drink, but didnt get home 'till 5:30am then had to get up at 8:00 to take my girl to work. I had just done a hard cardio day yesterday and my legs were still killing me from the squats I'd done the day before on my leg day. I was so hammered when I got back home at 10am this morning that I crashed - right until 5pm tonight! I felt like shit, had missed all my meals for the day and just felt like grabbing a tub of KFC and giving the whole fitness thing a miss for the day.
Then I remembered WalkingBeast's sticky on Killing That Shit and decided to just say 'fuck it', downed a foreman grilled chicken breast and hit the weights. After the first set I was into it and ended up killing that shit, improved my reps and put my weights up. Now I'm comfortably hammered again and don't feel as if I've wasted a precious day!

So thanks to WalkingBeast and the Kill That Shit Administration, best thing I learned today is that whenever you really don't feel like doing a workout and want to give in and call it quits, just kill the shit anyway, after the first few reps it all comes back into sync.

Cheers!

Anytime brother!! Honored I could help! A few weeks ago when I took my benching pics I had been up for 28 hours, and only ate 2 energy bars. Had ALOT of anxiety that day. Even though I felt like sleeping, I used some loud metal music to get my adrenaline flowing for an hour before leaving for the gym. I paced my room building up energy. Still couldnt get myself to eat anything. Then when I got to the gym I had a caffiene drink. Once I got to benching I had a second wind and felt perfectly rested for the most part. I was just light headed from the lack of food. I managed to press 400 3/4's of the way, but didnt get it. Also hit a small PR with 225x27. You never know what will happen once you get in the gym. Today I was going to skip my chest workout. Ive been having back problems. Feels like something is pinched in my upper spine, lower back has been pulling out alot. After a hot shower and some aspirin I think Ill train anyway. I probabally stick to 275 for reps. Finding it too difficult to keep myself away from the weights. A definite weakness of mine. Ive pushed my limits MANY times. Not really a good thing, but I can never back down. Ive only been training 2-3 days a week the last 2 weeks because of my back, and am due for an MRI. Still cant suppress those feelings! If I get to the point where I cant train back and chest for a while, Ill grow my arms, like I did last year during my major back injuries. Just have to look for ways to KILL THAT SHIT!! KEEP IT UP!!

I see that a lot of people dont know what "adrenaline" means.
I took a sec to look it up in the dictionary. Learn it and dont misuse it.

Main Entry: adrenaline rush
Function: noun
Definition: a sudden burst of energy from an increase in the hormone and neurotransmitter adrenaline, esp. increased heart rate and blood pressure, perspiration, blood sugar, and metabolism

A good example of when somebody gets "adrenaline rush" is when they are chased by the cops!!! Then you can really feel your heart going from 0 to 60 in less than 1 second.

I dont need someone to get my adrenaline flowing. I can generate it with my mind.
