Today I had a really shitty start.
Last night I went out to my favorite club with some mates, didnt drink, but didnt get home 'till 5:30am then had to get up at 8:00 to take my girl to work. I had just done a hard cardio day yesterday and my legs were still killing me from the squats I'd done the day before on my leg day. I was so hammered when I got back home at 10am this morning that I crashed - right until 5pm tonight! I felt like shit, had missed all my meals for the day and just felt like grabbing a tub of KFC and giving the whole fitness thing a miss for the day.
Then I remembered WalkingBeast's sticky on Killing That Shit and decided to just say 'fuck it', downed a foreman grilled chicken breast and hit the weights. After the first set I was into it and ended up killing that shit, improved my reps and put my weights up. Now I'm comfortably hammered again and don't feel as if I've wasted a precious day!
So thanks to WalkingBeast and the Kill That Shit Administration, best thing I learned today is that whenever you really don't feel like doing a workout and want to give in and call it quits, just kill the shit anyway, after the first few reps it all comes back into sync.
Cheers!
