im asking this question here because anything involving with pros has to do with AAS

you often hear that to lose BF, its better to do it gradually- i.e. cardio 20mins week 1-4, 40mins week 5-8, etc. as well as introducing cardio and fat burners later during the fat loss cycle.

however, pros dont do it this way, from what they post. they start out with 1-2 hours of cardio a day along with fat burners.

wouldnt the latter be better and just decrease calories as you go along?

If you not competing then better you do in fashion that is less traumatic to your body. good luck to you

They are pros and they do this al the time. Take it easy. Rome was not built in a day and they are on more compunds than we are in general.

Are you on a cycle or are you going the all natty route?

Well it depends. The pros do it to look good for one or two days. 16 weeks of prep to look good 48 hours.

You would never get as lean as I am in 16 weeks and hold that condition year around. Your body is like a rubberband, it will eventually snap back towards the environment that it is accustomed to. If you are making losing bodyfat a goal for year around benefit, it is better to slowly coast into the condition you want as opposed to making a mad dash to reach that point as fast as possible. The slower approach gives your body time to adjust and set it's own "check points" along the way.

If you do it that way, once you reach the condition you desire, you will see it is much easier to maintain it with less effort.

Personally, I would establish a consistent base line diet/calories. Instead of restricting calories and possibly losing muscle as well, I would keep the diet consistent and simply add more activity to each day in order to slowly shed the fat you are already holding. Losing weight is not the same as losing fat. Start with cardio in the mornings on an empty stomach EOD, 30 mins. Get a stopwatch and start reducing your time between sets at the gym in order to keep the heartrate up and making your workouts more efficient.
