I've been taking 500mg of test enanthate a week, I'm on week 7 of a 10 weeker.
I found water retention was worst around week 4 of this cycle. Since then, I haven't really gained any weight - I just feel that the weight is being consolidated into muscle. It feels as if the muscle initially fills with water like a sponge, then the water is gradually replaced by muscle fibre
One thing I've noticed- If I take a small dose of proviron (25mg), water retention is visibly less the following day. I won't be doing a test cycle in future without proviron. It compliments long-ester testosterone perfectly. From personal experience, 25mg of proviron every other day provides all the aromatase inhibition I need on half a gram of enanthate a week.
I'd love to tell you how much water I'm holding from the testosterone-produced estrogen, but it would be a total guess. I'm looking smooth and wet, but not bloated. Certainly less water than I get from 20mg of Dbol
