Testicles hurt after 6 weeks on Androderm

I'm 62 years old 5'11" 175 lbs. and in good shape. I workout with weights, do cardio regularly and eat clean most of the time. My recent blood test results showed my Total Test 440 (250-1200) and Free Test as 5.6 (5.1-56). All the other results in the full spectrum blood test were within range.
I told my doctor I wanted to improve my test levels and he put me on Androderm 4 mgs and I've been using them for 6 weeks. The past few days my testicles have begun to hurt. It was so bad earlier today I took the patch off and the pain is subsiding.
Is the pain because the testicles are shrinking? I was very excited about the results I was getting from the patch but at the same time I don't want the pain or tiny testicles. Any guidance you can give me would be appreciated.

Its pretty common when the testes begin to atrophy. I would ask you doc to prescribe you some HCG. Tell him your research has shown just 250IU 2x a week will keep the testes plump and help you avoid the pain associated with atrophy.

If he wont prescribe it you should be able to find it with a little searching.

Thanks. I see the doc this week. I'll ask for the hcg. What about an Estrogen blocker? Is this something I need as well?

That really depends on where your estrogen levels are while on treatment. For HRT most guys feel best when their T levels are at the high end of the range which generally means a little bit of anastozole to help with estrogen as well. Hard to say if you need it without seeing some lab work.
